BTS's Jungkook has added another record to his achievements with "Seven (feat. Latto)," earning a Platinum certification.
On November 6th (local time), according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Jungkook's solo single "Seven" has sold over 1 million units, achieving Platinum status.
Following his first RIAA Gold certification last year with the collaboration track "Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)" with Charlie Puth, Jungkook continues to ride the wave of popularity in the American music market with the Platinum certification of "Seven."
The RIAA awards certifications based on digital single and album sales, distinguishing between Gold (over 500,000 units), Platinum (over 1 million units), Multi-Platinum (over 2 million units), and Diamond (over 10 million units). Unit counts are tallied by combining album (physical/digital) sales volumes, digital downloads, and audio and video streaming, applying a weighted system.
Jungkook simultaneously released his solo album 'GOLDEN' to the world on the 3rd. This album, inspired by the 'golden moments' of solo artist Jungkook, includes a total of 11 tracks, featuring the title song "Standing Next to You," "Seven," and "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)" among others.
'GOLDEN' climbed to 'Double Million Seller' status on the Hanteo Chart within just 5 hours of its release. Including the title track "Standing Next to You," songs from the new album have dominated the top ranks of Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart, the world's largest streaming service. Additionally, both 'GOLDEN' and "Standing Next to You" have made a 'golden run' on major charts, hitting number one on Japan's Oricon Daily Album and Digital Single rankings.
