BTS's Jungkook has set another record on the UK Official Charts.
As of November 11 (Korean time), according to the latest chart released by the UK Official Charts, Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN' debuted at number 3 on the album chart, marking the highest position ever achieved by a K-pop solo artist's album. The title track of the album, 'Standing Next to You,' entered the singles chart at number 6.
With this achievement, Jungkook has successfully charted a total of five songs on the Official Singles Chart, following last year's collaboration with Charlie Puth 'Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)' (41st), this year's solo singles 'Seven (feat. Latto)' (3rd), and '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' (5th), as well as the collaboration 'TOO MUCH' with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee (10th), and 'Standing Next to You.'
Notably, Jungkook managed to place his last four releases, from 'Seven' to 'Standing Next to You,' all in the top 10 of the chart. Previously, BTS had entered the Official Singles Chart top 10 with 'Dynamite' (3rd), 'Butter' (3rd), 'Life Goes On' (10th), and the collaboration 'My Universe' with Coldplay (3rd), making Jungkook the only Korean artist to achieve top 10 entries both as a group and a solo artist.
This week's Official Singles Chart also saw 'Seven,' released last July, re-entering at 35th place, while '3D' climbed 13 places to 45th, charting for six consecutive weeks. 'TOO MUCH' maintained its position on the chart for three consecutive weeks at 42nd place.
Meanwhile, 'GOLDEN' debuted at number 1 on the latest (dated November 10th) Top Album Chart released by the French Music Association (SNEP). The title track 'Standing Next to You' shot straight to number 1 on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart announced by Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, on the 10th, while 'Seven' rebounded to 3rd place, accelerating its global popularity.
