BTS's attempt to secure a nomination at the Grammy Awards for the fourth consecutive year has unfortunately fallen through. Not just BTS, but no K-pop artists were nominated this year.

The Recording Academy of the United States announced the nominees for the 66th Grammy Awards through a live stream onNovember 11th (Korean time).

BTS, who had ventured into solo albums, sadly did not make it onto the list of nominees. Starting with Jin last year, BTS had been focusing on solo activities during their military service period.

J-Hope submitted 'on the street' for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Music Video categories, while Jin submitted 'The Astronaut', his collaboration with Coldplay, for Best Pop Solo Performance and Music Video categories. RM entered his solo album 'Indigo' for Best Pop Vocal Album, and its title track 'Wild Flower' for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Music Video categories.

Jimin submitted his solo album 'FACE' for Best Pop Vocal Album, and its title track 'Like Crazy' for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, as well as for Best Pop Solo Performance and Music Video categories.

Suga submitted 'D-DAY' for Best Rap Album and 'Haegeum' for Best Rap Performance and Music Video categories, V submitted his solo album 'Layover' for Best Pop Vocal Album, and 'Slow Dancing' for Best Pop Solo Performance and Music Video categories. Jungkook also submitted his globally popular solo single 'Seven' for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Music Video categories.

BTS had previously proven their global status by being continuously nominated for the Grammy Awards for three years in a row since their first appearance as presenters in 2019.

Other K-pop groups like TWICE, Stray Kids, and FIFTY FIFTY also reportedly failed to secure nominations this year.
