BTS member V is experiencing a long-running streak of popularity on the Billboard charts. According to the latest Billboard chart (dated November 18), a track from V's solo album "Layover," titled "Slow Dancing," has marked its ninth consecutive week on the Billboard 'Global 200' chart.

In the 'Global (Excluding U.S.)' chart, "Love Me Again" has remained for 13 consecutive weeks, while "Slow Dancing" has been on the chart for nine weeks. V is the first K-pop solo artist to have two album tracks enter this chart simultaneously.

"Layover" has also seen a significant rise on the Billboard 'Top Album Sales' chart, climbing 15 places to 23rd position, and on the 'Top Current Album Sales' chart, where it jumped 10 spots to 18th. The album has been charting on both for nine consecutive weeks.

Furthermore, "Layover" has been charting for nine consecutive weeks on the French Recording Industry Association's (SNEP) 'Top Album' chart, marking V as the longest-charting K-pop solo artist. In Austria's 'Top 75 Album' chart, the album has charted for six weeks, setting a record for the longest-charting Asian solo artist.

"Layover," an album rooted in the pop R&B genre, which is rare in the K-pop scene, has been praised for expanding the boundaries of K-pop. The album's simple sound design focuses solely on V's voice.

The music videos for the album's five tracks also center around the mood of the songs and V's vocals. "Layover," filled with V's natural charm and unique color, has received warm reception for its artistic quality as well as its mainstream appeal.

In other news, V is scheduled to appear on the SBS variety show 'Running Man' alongside actor Yoo Seung-ho on December 3rd. This much-anticipated 'Tazza Special' episode is raising global fans' expectations, as it has been a long-awaited collaboration by the 'Running Man' production team.
