A spokesperson for Munich's customs office clarified the situation to RTL, stating, "He did not declare a product. A product that was imported from non-EU countries in order to remain in the EU. The luxury watch, reported by some to be custom-made by Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, was intended for a charity auction in Kitzbühel, Austria. Schwarzenegger was set to host the event, with proceeds aimed at supporting the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative. Despite the hold-up at the airport, the actor's team assured that the watch would still be auctioned, and all necessary procedures would be followed.
