This punitive measure comes in response to Barwise's reprehensible act of racially abusing Liverpool's renowned forward, Mohamed Salah, during the fervently contested Merseyside derby at Anfield on October 21, 2023.
The incident, which marred the spirit of the game, also saw Barwise mockingly referencing the tragic Heysel disaster of 1985, a calamity that claimed the lives of 39 spectators.
