Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's marriage is better than ever, but the beauty is still bothered by her husband's ex, Rachel McAdams, according to a report.

“If it were up to Ryan, he’d still be friends with Rachel, but Eva would never go for that. He still crosses paths with Rachel at industry parties, but he keeps any interaction short because he’s so afraid it might upset Eva,” an unnamed source told The National Enquirer.

Ryan, 43, started dating Rachel, 45, after they appeared in "The Notebook." They split up two years later. He met Eva, 50, roughly five years later, while Rachel moved on with screenwriter Jamie Linden, father of her two children.

“But Eva is still all too aware of the incredible love story Ryan and Rachel shared and although she knows Rachel’s in a long- term relationship, she still gets weirded out when Ryan even talks about her,” an insider spilled to the entertainment news outlet.

Eva frequently avoids Hollywood events so she can stay at home with their children, Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7, “but she still keeps Ryan on such a tight leash,” the tipster tattled. “She would hear of something from other people and get on his case, even if it was the most innocent encounter. Eva knows Ryan loves and adores her, but she’ll always be jealous of Rachel, it went on.

Business Times has reached out to Eva Mendes for comments over the claims that she is still bothered by Rachel McAdams despite her better-then-ever marriage with Ryan Gosling. So, devoted followers of the retired actress should take all these unverified reports with a pinch of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

Meanwhile, Ryan has enjoyed sharing the “Barbie” sensation with his and Eva Mendes' daughters. The Oscar-nominated actor, who made a stir last summer as the patriarchy-loving Ken in Greta Gerwig's film, “Barbie,” opposite Margot Robbie, delivered a stunning performance of "I'm Just Ken" at the 2024 Oscars earlier this year.

Ryan took his daughters to the dress rehearsal for the well-received number, and the youngsters went full stage mom on their own father. "They know all the choreography better than I do—and the songs. They're backstage kind of showing me," the actor said on Thursday's episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” while miming the choreography. "Come on, jazz hands!"

He joked that his girls must've thought, "Dad's Ken'ing again." "It was their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken that sort of started all of this, and it's really been a team effort. They were on the film and they came to set when I filmed the number,” Ryan shared.

He stated that the daughters' attendance at the Oscars dress rehearsals provided them with a better understanding of what it meant for their father to portray Ken. "A lot of this has no context for them. It's just like a lot of fake tan stains around the house. So I wanted them to come to the dress rehearsal just to give it some kind of context for what had been going on,” Ryan joked.

Eva was also seen backstage at the Oscars dress rehearsal, supporting her husband. During a March appearance on “Today,” the actress discussed her choice to take a break from her Hollywood profession to raise the couple's children.

"It was like a no-brainer. [And I was like], I'm so lucky if I could have this time with my children," Eva said of becoming a full-time mother. She added that she still works but prefers not to act because "acting takes you on location. It takes you away."

"It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, 'OK, he's going to work and I'm going to work. I'm just going to work here. He went and he did his job. He just happens to be really good at his job. And he did it and he came home,” Eva furthered.

This weekend, Ryan will headline “Saturday Night Live” for the third time. "I'm more nervous [this time], well, because before I didn't know, now I know," the actor admitted on the “Tonight Show.” "I think I laugh too much,” he continued.

Ryan will be hosting alongside musical guest Chris Stapleton.
