The second-chance love story of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck is going off-script, a new report claimed. The lovebirds, who got reunited and tied the knot in 2022 two decades since they called off their first engagement, are under pressure with the “Gone Girl” star shooting “The Accountant” sequel in Los Angeles and the “Papi” hitmaker pursuing her own career in the Big Apple.
“This is the first long stretch they’ve spent apart in a while. And they’re both dealing with it in different ways,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine. The insider said Jennifer has become increasingly needy as Ben enjoys being busy working on his own career.
“She wants constant affirmation from him that she’s loved and adored,” notes the insider (the duo have five kids between them). But she’s not getting much of that now and Ben gets defensive and moody,” the same tipster shared, adding that their friends are saying the cracks in their marriage are already showing.
“The honeymoon is definitely over. The feeling is if they want to stay married, they both need to make some adjustments in their behavior,” the informant furthered.
Another mole told the entertainment news outlet that Jennifer and Ben hit a rough patch amid the “Let’s Get Loud” singer’s recent career quandaries. Most, if not all, fans are aware that her former beau, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has made headlines after he was accused of drug trafficking, rape, sexual misconduct and human trafficking as she incurred loses after her 2024 album “This Is Me...Now: A Love Story” and documentary, “This Is Me...Now” ailed to live up to everyone’s expectations.
“Jennifer’s fall from grace has been coming for a while and it’s really all her fault because she’s the one driving it. She lives in a world of make-believe and people aren’t buying the act anymore. They’re labeling her a phony and narcissist and someone who’s tone-deaf to the real world around he,” an undisclosed tipster stated.
It was also previously reported that Jennifer has grown frustrated with Ben’s smoking habits, as per a Yahoo report.
“J. Lo loves Ben, but she’s tired of his nasty cigarettes. She put up with his smoking at first because it’s his only vice left and she didn’t want to be a nag, but she can’t stand it,” a spy suggested in April.
The source noted that Jennifer hates cigarette smoke and she is allegedly smelling it on Ben’s clothes. “While Ben goes outside to smoke now, she’d rather he not smoke at all,” it went on.
