Prince Harry will set foot to the U.K. soil for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, but reports suggest that Meghan Markle is not joining her husband. The low approval rating of the “Suits” alum in the U.K. is said to be stopping her from visiting Harry’s native land.

"Meghan tells friends that she does not feel welcome or comfortable in the U.K. I know that their popularity has seen a severe decline in Britain, but I also know that Meghan would be treated with kindness if she opted to attend,” Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital.

"I am surprised that Meghan would not want to appear alongside Prince Harry to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games," she went on.

Aside from Meghan, it was claimed that the Windsors won’t also be in attendance to support Prince Harry. Most, if not all, royal fans are aware that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a number of tell-all projects following their exit from the royal fold in 2020, which only made things worse with the duke’s family.

"Prince Harry is suffering the consequences of his actions. Harry does not take responsibility for the tsunami of hurt he has caused his family. The king sees this very clearly. Harry is still under the impression that he has not done anything wrong by purging family secrets for paychecks. That delusion concerns everyone that used to be close to Harry,” Kinsey stated.

OK! Magazine previously reported that Meghan would not be in London, but she and Prince Harry will reunite in Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games.

“The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has expressed its honor and delight for the acceptance of the Duke of Sussex, His Royal Highness, Prince Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan to visit Nigeria in May, 2024," the Nigerian Defence Headquarters said in a statement.

“During their stay in the country, they will be meeting with service members and will be hosted to arrays of cultural activities. It would be recalled that Prince Harry, the Duke of Duchess founded the Invictus games, an international multi-sporting event which offers recovery pathway for international wounded, injured and sick service men and women. It also gives soldiers awareness and recognition in society to support their path in rehabilitation,” the statement continued.

Nigeria is hopeful that they will be able to host the sporting event one day, especially because of Prince Harry’s love for the country.

“The visit is to consolidate Nigeria’s stronghold at the game and the possibility of hosting the event later years. The Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, who was at Germany at last year’s event, has accepted to host the games when granted to Nigeria,” the statement noted.

Though Meghan and Prince Harry’s trip to Nigeria will focus more on their support to the Invictus games, the move has raised criticism that the Sussex pair wants to continue their “royal way” despite leaving the firm.

"What the last four years also reflects is their willingness to continue to 'royal' away at things despite the late Queen attempting to have put her foot down about separating the commercial and the quasi-official,” royal commentator Daniela Elser told News.com.au.

"They don’t seem to have quite worked out how to truly divorce their new philanthropic careers where they can be as bold and creative as they fancy and instead seem to routinely fall back on the old palace playbook, albeit under the Sussex banner,” Daniela added.

Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on Daniela Elser’s recent remarks.
