Jennifer Garner has kept mum about her connection with ex-husband Ben Affleck for the past six years, but that is about to change, a new report suggested.
According to insiders, Jennifer is now ready to tell her side of the story. "Jen doesn't think anyone knows the truth about her and Ben. Nobody knows what people go through—or how much she shielded Ben and their children. Jen is finally opening up to some friends about how rough it really was,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine.
For starters, Ben, 51, and Jennifer, 52, were married for 10 years and had three gorgeous children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. However, Jennifer's life was allegedly not always simple as she dealt with Ben's alcoholism.
Despite their separation in 2015, insiders claim Ben was still "making Jen's life a hell" until a few years ago. "His addictions were worse than anyone knows. Jen's explained how she had to deal with Ben during benders and blackouts and plenty of ugly arguments. Some pretty incomprehensible stuff,” an unnamed source told Woman’s Day Australia.
Ben underwent addiction treatment three times during their marriage—in 2001, 2017 and, most recently, in 2018, just weeks before the couple divorced. However, Jennifer was by his side through it all, even driving him to rehab after his 2018 relapse.
Tipster suggested that Ben was sober already when he reunited with Jennifer Lopez in 2021, but Jennifer Garner has no bad feelings.
"Jen had to deal with him at his worst. She put in the hard work, gave the unconditional love Ben needed at his lowest points, and J.Lo got the recovered, better Ben. It's painful to think about, but Jen holds no grudges,” the informant told the entertainment news outlet.
In fact, in recent months, Jennifer and Ben have demonstrated that they are the ideal co-parents, with the pair frequently sighted together at family gatherings alongside J.Lo, 54, and her twins Max and Emme, 16.
Jennifer has had some unexpected challenges in recent years, with sources claiming that in 2021, the "Peppermint" actress will confront a serious medical crisis. While the exact ailment is unknown, sources indicate that it has been resolved and that she is "healthy today."
The “Daredevil” actress has also just dealt with the death of her father, William John Gardner, who died over Easter this year. "While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85-year-old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know grief is unavoidable, waiting around unexpected corners. Today is for gratitude,” Jennifer penned at the time.
Despite this, spies claimed Jennifer is "happier than ever" in her life, and she has found love again with John Miller. The “13 Going 30” star, who has been seeing the American billionaire on and off since 2018, has kept their relationship out of the spotlight, which was difficult to do during her high-profile marriage to Ben.
Despite everything that has transpired in the past, Jennifer Garner and Ben are in a good position, and sources say she and Jennifer Lopez are genuinely on the same page when it comes to Ben and the children.
"Jen realized that J.Lo isn't as domineering as she assumed, and they both agree that the most important thing is the children's happiness. They are also on the same page about a sober, happy and healthy Ben benefiting everybody,” the source told the magazine.
