Just weeks after her shocking divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen, someone has allegedly put a smile back on Isla Fisher’s face. The newly single Australian actress has returned on set filming an upcoming Netflix movie.
George Clooney, Isla’s co-actor, is said to be doing a great job of playing her leading man role after the actress’ split from Sacha.
“George is one of Hollywood’s good guys, and he always wants to make sure the people he works alongside have fun during the long, grueling days on set. He also knows that despite her brave face, Isla is going through a lot and needs as much positivity around her as possible,” an unnamed source told Woman’s Day Australia.
In late April, The Sun also reported that Isla Fisher appeared to be in good spirits while filming her new film with George Clooney, only weeks after her breakup from Sacha Baron Cohen. The 48-year-old was recently spotted filming sequences with the Hollywood actor in Hampshire for his next film Jay Kelly.
It comes only weeks after Isla, 48, and Sacha, 52, revealed to fans that they split last year and had kept it a secret. The star was all smiles on a forest set with her co-stars for the comic drama, which will be available on Netflix.
The Aussie actress looked stunning in a green boho-style plunging dress. Her appearance was finished with gold jewels and a large flower in her hair. Meanwhile, George looked amazing in a cream suit and matching shirt.
Isla was seen leaping out of a car in the woods area and kissing George on the face. The film, directed by Noah Baumbach, will also include Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, and Riley Keough.
The “Confessions of a Shopaholic” was spotted taking a stroll in North London last week after ending her marriage. Just days prior, she was seen for the first time since they both announced their split. The actress appeared downcast as she was photographed walking her dog sans her wedding band.
To recall, Isla and Sacha announced their shocking split after 14 years of wedding in a joint post on April 5. The ex-lovebirds shared a snap of themselves hugging each other in a match-matchy all-white tennis ensemble.
"After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate you respecting our families' wish for privacy,” the former pair said in a statement.
There were several indications that they had previously split, including social media absences and covering their ring finger. The “real reason' for their split was eventually found to be a disagreement over where they wanted to live.
Sacha appeared for the first time since their announcement only last week. The “Borat” star was spotted on Fifth Avenue in New York City wearing a khaki jumper and a fedora hat.
