At the end of February 2022, forty days after announcing his retirement from the sport of football, Tom Brady signed a contract to continue playing for Tampa Bay for one more season. The Buccaneers finished the season with a losing record, and it was widely reported that Tom's return to the NFL was the cause of his divorce from Gisele Bundchen later that year.

Within the context of "The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady" in May, this was something that the host, Kevin Hart, made jokes about with great enthusiasm. “When you got a chance to go 8-9, and all it will cost you is your wife and your kids, you gotta do what the f--- you gotta do,” the comedian stated.

The unfortunate reality is that Tom's choice to take part in the Netflix special, for which he was reportedly paid $22 million, was yet another instance of the quarterback, who is 46 years old, putting himself first.

“Tom’s roast was a phenomenal success, but Gisele says he basically sold out his family for an easy paycheck. She is still furious and telling people Tom never took her or, more importantly, his children’s feelings into consideration. The hurt he’s caused his family isn’t going away anytime soon,” an unnamed source told The National Enquirer.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion recently merged his nutrition company, TB12, and his apparel brand, Brady, with activewear label Nobull, where he is now the No. 2 shareholder, CNBC reported. Furthermore, Tom recently signed a $375 million, 10-year deal to be Fox's lead NFL color commentator beginning this fall.

While Tom was amassing a substantial wealth, his and Gisele's children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, were forced to listen to jokes that suggested their mother, who was 43 at the time, had initiated a sexual relationship with her lover, Joaquim Valente, who was a jiu-jitsu instructor, prior to the breakup of her relationship with Tom.

“How did you not see this coming? Eight f---ing karate classes a day and she’s still a white belt!” Kevin stated.

Gisele and her crew were not the only ones who were subjected to “inhumane” treatment. Roasters also made fun of Tom's ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, whom the GOAT broke up with in 2006, before he was aware that she was expecting his son Jack, who is now 16 years old, Page Six reported.

“Tom...you retired, then came back, then retired, I get it. It’s hard to walk away from something that isn’t your pregnant girlfriend,” Nikki Glaser, 40, quipped on the show.

After watching the show, Bridget, who is 53 years old, reached out to Gisele to commiserate. “She feels bad for Gisele and the kids and told her so. They both agree that Tom was inconsiderate and careless and absolutely put them in the line of fire,” the informant said.

Tom expressed his sadness for the jokes that were made about his family after the fact and hinted that he would not sign up for the "bittersweet" experience the next time it was offered. It is not sufficient, however.

“He’s trying to make it up to the kids, Gisele and Bridget, but it’s an uphill battle. Nothing he says or does can fix the damage,” the tipster suggested.
