Jennifer Garner remains resolute in her commitment to support her former spouse, Ben Affleck, throughout challenging circumstances, amidst swirling reports of his potential divorce from his current wife, Jennifer Lopez.
Garner, who has three children with the “Batman” star, has been meeting with him many times every week, an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine.
"The last thing in the world Jen wants to do is pick up the pieces of Ben and J. Lo’s broken relationship, but she has no choice. That’s why she’s spending so much time with Ben ... he’s close to his breaking point,” the anonymous insider went on.
"People close to Ben have been concerned about him for some time. He’s in a bad place and has been isolating. Jen’s opening up to friends like never before about it, explaining why she’s been so involved lately and is often seen visiting Ben. She wants to finally share her side of the story,” the informant added.
Another tipster with insider knowledge stated that the “Alias” actress has consistently harbored skepticism over the success of Affleck and Lopez's revived romantic relationship.
"She says her biggest concern is Ben spiraling worse than before. She won’t let that happen. Jen’s moved on from Ben as a husband, but because of the children they share, she’ll always feel responsible for him,” the mole claimed.
OK! Magazine previously reported that Garner is also concerned that her former partner's purported marital issues could have a detrimental impact on his recovery from addiction.
"Jen has a bit of a savior complex. She’ll sacrifice her own needs and the to make sure Ben’s OK. She helped him get sober before. She feels it’s her duty to keep him that way,” a tattler claimed at the time.
Affleck and Lopez initially ignited speculation about the deterioration of their marriage earlier this year due to their prolonged absence of being seen in photographs together. Subsequently, it was disclosed that the duo have been dwelling in different locations, with Affleck occupying a rented property in Brentwood for the previous two months.
