George Clooney's support for President Joe Biden's reelection has caused tension in his marriage with his wife, Amal, a new report claimed. Amal, who is from Beirut, interprets this as an endorsement of the administration's backing of Israel's military campaign against Palestine. As a result, their nine-year marriage is now in jeopardy.
Sources told The National Enquirer that the human rights lawyer, aged 46, had requested George, aged 63, to separate himself from Biden due to the U.S. president's refusal to support the International Criminal Court's plan to apprehend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and accuse them of committing war crimes.
Israel initiated its current military campaign against Hamas militants in Gaza as a reaction to their violent invasion on October 7, 2023. This ongoing battle has resulted in extensive destruction in the region and a death toll of 37,000.
Amal, the mother of Clooney's seven-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, served on an advisory panel that reviewed the investigation conducted by the ICC prosecutor, without revealing her involvement for several months.
Meanwhile, George hosted a high-profile celebrity event for Biden on June 15, which generated $30 million in donations for the politician's campaign funds, as per AP News. Currently, individuals with firsthand knowledge revealed that the movie actor's allegiance to the commander in chief has severely strained his marriage.
“Amal put her foot down and raged Biden’s support for Israel was enabling what amounts to genocide in Gaza. But George replied he’d made a commitment to Biden he wasn’t about to abandon given the stakes of the election. It all blew up with Amal refusing to attend the fundraiser, leaving George to make an embarrassing appearance without her,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
Experts argued that the International Criminal Court's warrants, along with Biden's endorsement of Israel's actions, have placed the President of the United States in a difficult situation.
“The optics are terrible for him. Suddenly, he’s not lending aid to America’s longtime staunch ally but to a regime of alleged war criminals. It’s costing him a ton of votes from the left,” the informant stated.
In June, the House of Representatives, which is controlled by the Republican party, voted to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) if it proceeds with the prosecution of Netanyahu.
Tipsters reported that the “Ocean's Eleven” actor made an urgent contact to the White House out of fear. George allegedly sought reassurances that the administration would prevent the GOP from obstructing his wife's entry into the United States. This concern arose when his wife, who holds dual British-Lebanese citizenship, departed abroad.
“Liberals have always supported Joe, but the Democratic extremists do not support his stance on Israel. George is already walking a thin line with them. But he’s already crossed it with Amal!” the mole said.
