Sources inside the royal family have stated that Prince Anne, the sister of King Charles, is anticipated to "bounce back" after suffering a severe head injury at the hands of a horse on her Gatcombe Park estate.
According to reports, the only sister of the monarch, who is 73 years old and is an accomplished horsewoman who competed for England in the 1976 Olympics, sustained "minor injuries and a concussion" when taking a stroll in the evening near the animals.
During her recovery from brain damage, Princess Anne will be absent from nine different appearances.
At the time of the terrifying event, her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, as well as her children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, were present at the estate. The doctors suspect that Princess Anne was struck by the head or leg of a horse, which caused her injuries.
One of the former employees of the royal family referred to Princess Anne as "the royal with the hardest working schedule," adding, "She is an incredible woman and will quickly recover."
“No one would ever dare to tell her to slow down when I was there and I doubt it will change even after this,” the same source went on, as per Globe Magazine.
On Wednesday, the Canadian Governor General shared a message on Princess Anne’s behalf. As per PureWow, the Princess Royal expressed her "deep regret" that she was unable to attend the memorial event, which was held to honor the "brave efforts and sacrifices of the members of the Newfoundland Regiment who went into battle on the first day of the Somme."
“I have fond memories of joining you in 2016, on the 99th occasion that the people of this Island commemorated the Battle of Beaumont Hamel, and I am deeply saddened that I'm unable to join you again, and I send you my warmest best wishes on this special day of commemoration,” the statement continued, The Telegraph reported.
In a statement that was published on the official website of the royal family, Buckingham Palace issued a statement shortly after Princess Anne was sent to the hospital to receive assistance for her injuries.
“The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery,” the statement read.
The official date that Prince Anne will resume her duties as a member of the royal family has not yet been disclosed. On the other hand, it has been claimed that she has been following the recommendations of her medical team while she is in the process of recovering.
According to footage that was uploaded by X, Princess Anne's husband assured media that she was "fine" and that her recovery would be "slow but sure" one day after the palace divulged that she had been admitted to the hospital.
