Over the course of the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 at LaGuardia High School, which was attended by hundreds of students, friends, and family members, there were two individuals who were very well known. On Friday, June 21, Suri Cruise, shining brightly in a brilliant red cap and gown, celebrated the milestone alongside her fellow graduates outside of the United Palace Theater in New York City.

“Suri couldn’t stop smiling, [while her mom, Katie Holmes] looked so proud, standing by her side and posing for photos,” an unnamed source told In Touch Magazine.

However, her father, Tom Cruise, who is a famous actor, did not turn up. Instead, the A-list actor, who is 61 years old, was seen making an appearance at a concert by Taylor Swift in London the following day.

“He was trading friendship bracelets with superfans and dancing to ‘Shake It Off’ in a crowd filled with young ladies who were around his daughter’s age. This after skipping Suri’s graduation — it’s like he’s living a double life,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.

"The truth is, for the last 11 years, Tom has chosen not to see Suri," the informant claimed. This is despite the fact that the 18-year-old has just lost her renowned last name recently and now goes by the name Suri Noelle.

Now that Suri is an adult according to the law, Tom does not need to go through Katie, who is 45 years old, in order to communicate with Suri. However, according to the insider, he has not yet made any attempt to contact her, and fans are curious as to why Tom does not have feelings for Suri.

One portrayal of Tom is that of the adored “Top Gun” star who continues to command the box office, while the other portrays him as an "evil father," as some people have referred to him. Fans of the actor have had a difficult time reconciling these two pictures of Tom.

“On the one hand, he has charmed his way into our minds with his excellent choices in films. On the other hand, there is no excuse whatsoever for denying your child your love,” a netizen previously raised.

For a time, Tom vowed that he would never act in such a manner. “My whole life I always wanted to be a father. I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me, and I would always be there for them and love them — that I’d never make a promise to my kids that I couldn’t keep,” Tom told Vanity Fair in 2006.

In spite of this, the actress from "Dawson's Creek" filed for divorce from Tom in June of 2012, many years after the separation. Visitation rights were granted to the “Mission Impossible” star, while Katie continued to keep primary custody of the child.

According to the informant, Tom made his last appearance with Suri, who was suffering from a broken arm at the time, in September of 2013. This came after a few intermittent encounters, including the last time they were spotted together in April of 2013.

In spite of the fact that there was no legal basis for him to refrain from seeing Suri again, it seemed as though his time spent with her had substantially decreased after that point; they have not been photographed together in years.

“It was entirely Tom’s decision not to see Suri,” the tipster stated. In the meantime, Tom maintains communication with his children: Bella, who is 31 years old, and Connor, who is 29 years old. Both of these children are members of his religious community.

He has been accused of his faith for a long time. “Tom has proven over and over again that his No. 1 loyalty is to [his religion] and David Miscavige,” Tony Ortega, an expert on Tom’s faith, told the entertainment news outlet.

“[As the years passed,] it became more and more obvious Tom had completely cut Suri out of his life. And frankly, Suri may be better off for it,” he continued.
