As a result of her long-running conflict with Princess Kate, Meghan Markle is reportedly experiencing "remorse" and is now looking for "some sort of reconciliation," according to a Palace watcher.

On the other hand, Hilary Fordwich, an expert on royal affairs, believes that the Duchess of Sussex "has a long way to go" before Princess Kate realizes the advantages of burying the hatchet.

Despite "genuinely feeling hurt" at the breakup of their relationship, the former “Suits” actor reportedly "wants to make peace" with Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales, according to sources within the organization.

"Meghan Markle is purportedly remorseful. … Well, one would hope. It’s just being spread that she doesn’t want any bad blood. Of course, she wants and needs some sort of reconciliation." But Meghan Markle has a long way to go for Kate to ever see an upside for the Royal Family or the public in a reconciliation," Hilary said during an appearance on Fox News.

Since the burial of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, which was the last time Meghan was in the United Kingdom, Prince Harry’s wife and Princess Kate had not seen each other throughout that period.

However, an unnamed source told In Touch Magazine that Meghan is now ready smooth things over with Princess Kate.

"She wants to make peace with Kate. She doesn’t want any bad blood between them. Meghan’s friends say she regrets how things went down and she never meant any harm to Kate. Though she must realise she could’ve done things differently. Meghan’s been going out of her way to show concern for Kate in this difficult time,” the insider said.

In March, the Princess of Wales released an emotional video message in which she confirmed that she was undergoing prophylactic chemotherapy following the diagnosis of cancer that she received following abdominal surgery.

Prince Harry and Meghan shocked everyone when they posted a message of support for Princess Kate when the cancer announcement went public despite the Sussex pair’s ongoing feud with the Wales couple. "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” the message read.

Despite the fact that Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William have a chilly relationship with one other, it was believed that the Duke of Sussex and Meghan possibly reached out to Princess Kate in private as well.
