The concerts that were scheduled to take place in Vienna, Austria, as part of Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour have been canceled subsequent to the confirmation by government officials that the gigs were the target of "planned terrorist attacks."

The singer, who had won a Grammy, was slated to appear at Ernst Happel Stadium on August 8, 9, and 10 of this year.

The residence of a suspect who was 19 years old was searched by authorities on August 7, 2024, in connection with the suspected attacks that took place in Ternitz. It has been stated that the adolescent resides with his parents, and the authorities discovered various narcotics and chemicals within their residence, said Variety.

During the later hours of that day, the juvenile suspect was taken into custody, and a secondary suspect was held in Vienna. Both of them are suspected of being extremists.

The public security director at Austria's interior ministry, Franz Ruf, stated to The Austria Press Agency that authorities were made aware of the "preparatory actions" for a possible attack, and that the offender, who is 19 years old, is focusing his attention on the Taylor Swift concerts that are taking place in Vienna.

“Taylor Swift | The Eras tour Vienna shows canceled due to government officials confirmation of a planned terrorist attack. With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety,” Barracuda Music, the host of the event, wrote via Instagram later that day, as per In Touch Weekly.

To this day, Taylor has not made any public statements regarding the tragic events.

At the Morgan Wallen concert, Travis Kelce is allegedly the target of an attack. According to the allegations that were made on August 2, 2024, Travis, who was dating Taylor, was one of two individuals who were the subject of a "terroristic threat" at a Morgan Wallen performance that was held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

According to court filings that were reported by several publications, the suspect, Aaron Brown, threatened two national football league players for the Kansas City Chiefs who have not been identified via X.

“Mr. [redacted] at Arrowhead with the wife. If he brings out [redacted] or [redacted] I’ll take the f–kin shot. F–k em! Also f–k you bitch!! (hand emoji with middle finger up twice) @[redacted],” the threat read.

Travis was there at the country concert alongside his teammate Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes, who is expecting their first child. Following the performance of the "Cowgirls" vocalist, the professional athletes appeared on stage at a certain point in the show.

Brown was able to reach the authorities through his mobile phone, and he provided them with information regarding the location of his girlfriend and him at the performance. On the spot, they made the arrest.

“The defendant confirmed to police where he was located at Arrowhead. The concert was delayed for 40 minutes while the defendant was located. The defendant was charged earlier today and a $15,000 bond was set,” the court documents read per Variety.
