By waving her left hand in the air, Adele finally announced her engagement to Rich Paul during her concert on August 9 in Munich, Germany. She told the crowd that she is "getting married" to the sports agent, who is 43 years old, and she did so while the concert was completely sold out.
It has been more than a year since the singer of "Skyfall," who is 36 years old, was seen wearing a diamond in the shape of a pear as she performed at her residency in Las Vegas, and wedding preparations are already well on, an unnamed source exclusively tells Life & Style Magazine.
“It will be a decent-size affair, most likely in California, followed by a second celebration in England. Adele’s very excited and so is Rich. They’re crazy in love,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
To recall, during a concert in Munich, where she is presently performing a summer residency that is completely sold out, the British musician officially confirmed that she is engaged to her lover, Rich Paul. Following the display of a placard by a fan requesting Adele's hand in marriage, she disclosed, in a manner that was typical of her, that she was unable to marry the fan since she was already engaged.
After she referred to Paul as "my husband" during a show at her Las Vegas residency in September 2022, rumors began to circulate that the British pop superstar was intending to be married to Paul, a sports agent who is best known for working with NBA star LeBron James. These rumors have been around for a number of years.
There was even conjecture that the wedding had actually taken place in November 2023, because a number of people on social media tweeted about attending the first stand-up event in the United States that was performed by the British comedian Alan Carr. There were reports going around at the time that Alan decided to take a pause during the show to inquire of the guests whether someone had recently tied the knot, and Adele responded by saying, "I did!"
It is well known that Alan is one of Adele's closest friends. It has been stated that the musician served as the celebrant for Alan's wedding in 2018, which took place in the backyard of her home in Los Angeles.
Adele and Paul had their first encounter at a party many years before they started dating. However, it wasn't until 2021 that they first had a romantic relationship. This was two years after the singer had filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, with whom she shares a kid.
In her 2021 Vogue cover story, Adele made the following statement about Paul: “He was always there, I just didn’t see him.” This was her first interview after officially revealing that she and Paul were actually dating. She proceeded by saying, “Rich just incredibly arrived,” and she mentioned that she immediately experienced a sense of security and tranquility in the connection. “I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild,” Adele stated.
Over the course of the years that have passed since then, the pair has been seen sitting courtside on basketball date nights, often showing their support for Paul's most prominent client, the Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James. In 2023, Paul and Adele attended the Grammy Awards together, where the singer won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for her song "Easy on Me." This is not to suggest that Paul has not also shown his support for Adele.
At the event, Adele also wore a diamond ring on the fourth finger of her left hand, which sparked rumors about her marriage. These rumors were rekindled later that year when she posted an Instagram photo of herself holding a copy of Paul's memoir while wearing another diamond ring on her wedding finger.
