Queen Elizabeth criticized Donald Trump for being "very rude" and expressed her belief that his marriage to Melania Trump may be based on business rather than in love, a new royal biography has claimed.

During Trump’s presidency, Melania and Donald met with Queen Elizabeth on three separate occasions. During a working trip to the United Kingdom in July 2018, the then-president and first lady met for the first time at Windsor Castle.

During the first state visit that Donald and Melania Trump made to her country, which took place in June 2019, Queen Elizabeth, who had passed away in September 2022, attended the event at Buckingham Palace and hosted the pair. After a period of six months, the couple went back to the palace to attend a reception honoring the 70th anniversary of NATO, which was hosted by the queen.

During these meetings, the English author Craig Brown asserted in his recently published book, "A Voyage Around the Queen," that Donald did not leave a favorable impression on the monarch of the United Kingdom under the previous administration.

A conversation that took place over lunch "weeks after" one of the contentious meetings that the late queen had with the controversial Republican leader is described in the book, which was serialized in The Daily Mail. The book claimed that the late queen revealed her genuine feelings regarding Donald.

"A few weeks after President Trump's visit, for instance, she confided in one lunch guest that she found him 'very rude,'" Craig penned in his book. The author continued by saying that Queen Elizabeth "particularly disliked the way he couldn't stop looking over her shoulder, as though he was looking for others who were more interesting."

In addition, it is said that Queen Elizabeth divulged her speculation regarding the reasons why Melania remained married to him. "She also believed President Trump 'must have some sort of arrangement' with his wife Melania, or else why would she have remained married to him?" Craig wrote.

Following allegations that Donald had violated royal protocol on many occasions during his visits to Queen Elizabeth, he had been subjected to a great deal of criticism from royal enthusiasts and industry experts. The candidate for the Republican presidential nomination was criticized for not bowing when he greeted Queen Elizabeth and for going in front of her while they were inspecting a guard of honor provided by the Coldstream Guards during their visit in 2018.

Another thing that caused many to raise their heads was when Donald put his hand on Queen Elizabeth's back while they were attending a state banquet at Buckingham Palace the following year. Following their meeting in June 2019, Donald claimed on "Fox and Friends" that he had a "great relationship" with Queen Elizabeth and that she had a wonderful time during his visit. He also stated that she had a wonderful time.

"I have such a great relationship, and we were laughing and having fun. And her people said she hasn't had so much fun in 25 years. Then I got criticized for it because they said we were having too much fun," Donald claimed at the time.

Donald also paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth after she passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96. He wrote on Truth Social that he and Melania would "always cherish our time together with the Queen, and never forget Her Majesty's generous friendship, great wisdom, and wonderful sense of humor. What a grand and beautiful lady she was—there was nobody like her!"
