After Donald Trump failed to correctly pronounce the word "regulatory" during a speaking engagement in Pennsylvania on Monday, August 19, he was accused of anything from being on a cocktail of drugs to suffering from dementia.

"Kamala [Harris] is also on a regu-tory...regulatory jihad to shut down power plants all across America now. They're closing nuclear, they're closing coal, they're closing everything. We're not going to have this the way in California they have blackouts all the time,” the former POTUS told the crowd.

As soon as the mistake was made, Trump's detractors rushed to X, which was formerly known as Twitter, to criticize the 78-year-old ex-president.

“Speaking like a 5 year old child by mumbling his words..." one netizen wrote. "It's a big word,” another X user stated. "Drugs,” a third person simply said.

Regarding the struggling businessman's overall capability to fulfill the role of President of the United States, a fourth critic raised doubts. "Trump's senility and incompetence are a national embarrassment. This imbecile should never have been near any public office, let alone the presidency. Time to retire the circus act,” the X user penned.

Others stated that the comment made by the former president was completely incomprehensible, regardless of how he spoke it.

“A regulatory jihad,' gotta be the first time those words have ever been spoken. Wtf is Trump even talking about???" one critic chimed in. "Comrade. Jihad. Trump is trying to push all the buttons,” another person added on his use of buzz words.

In a series of posts that were uploaded on his Truth Social platform, the controversial politician took aim at Vice President Harris. On Sunday, August 18, Trump frequently referred to her as a "communist" and referred to her as "terrible" for the country, as was previously reported by OK! Magazine.

In addition to this, Trump reiterated to his supporters that she was a "crooked radical left political" who ruined "everything she touches." In a separate tweet, he distributed a spoof version of a song by Alanis Morissette, in which the altered lyrics referred to Harris as a "moron."

"She spent her whole d--- life // Down on her knees // To be commander in chief // That's how you say please. Isn't it moronic // Don't you think a little too moronic // Yeah, I really can't think,” the altered song said. "She never thought, just giggles,” another section of the song stated, slamming Harris' laugh.
