It has been reported that Princess Kate will be traveling to the United States after spending the summer continuing her treatment and recovery from cancer. During this time, she also spent quality time with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, during their school break at both their country estate, Anmer Hall, located in the Norfolk region of England, and on King Charles' bucolic Balmoral estate in Scotland.
According to Star Magazine, an anonymous source has revealed that Princess Kate is discreetly making preparations to accompany Prince William to New York City on September 24 for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, which is a very important event for him.
“[Princess] Kate is very excited to be getting back in the swing of royal duties,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet, adding that supporting Prince William and inevitably bringing global attention to the environmental action event he’s so passionate about “means the world to her.”
Not only have Princess Kate and Prince William battled to deal with what the Princess of Wales referred to as the "huge shock" of her health issue, but they have also fought to balance their royal and parental responsibilities with accommodating her medical requirements. This year has been unexpectedly challenging for them. From a number of perspectives, a trip to Manhattan would serve as a much-required distraction.
“They’ve been craving the chance to get away and have some fun, so this serves as a perfect opportunity to do just that. Being away from the kids and holed up in a ritzy hotel will be a treat, plus they love New York and its energy,” the informant shared.
A decade has passed since the last time Prince William and Princess Kate were seen together in the city, as per PEOPLE. When they were three years into their marriage, Princess Kate was expecting her first child, Princess Charlotte.
They utilized the services of the Carlyle, a luxurious hotel located on the Upper East Side, throughout that trip. The presidential suite of the five-star hotel is a three-bedroom suite that occupies the full 26th floor, boasts 360-degree views of the city, and costs $40,000 per night. If they are tempted to treat themselves once more, they have the option of staying in this suite.
Nevertheless, Princess Kate does not like to remain cooped up in a hotel, regardless of how luxurious and comfy the amenities may be. It is likely that the mother of three may see more of the Big Apple if she is in the mood to do so. She may also “take some time out when they’re not working and go sightseeing, perhaps do some shopping and soak up the atmosphere and culture.”
According to reports, Princess Kate is also interested in looking nice while doing it. “She plans to work with at least two stylists so she has a good range of choices. [After she’s all been through], friends are saying [Princess Kate] needs this more than anything,” the tipster said.
