Actress Jo Bo-ah recently surprised fans by announcing her upcoming wedding in October. Following the announcement, her agency addressed speculations surrounding the marriage.
On the afternoon of August 28 (KST), Jo Bo-ah's agency, XYZ Studio, released an official statement confirming her marriage plans. The agency stated, "Jo Bo-ah has met a precious person and, after a long period of building deep trust and affection for each other, they have decided to promise a lifetime together this fall." The statement also revealed that the wedding would be a private affair held at a location in Seoul, respecting the privacy of the non-celebrity groom and both families.
The agency continued, "We sincerely thank all those who have always supported Jo Bo-ah with a warm heart. We ask for your warm congratulations for Jo Bo-ah, and we hope you will continue to support her as she plans to repay everyone's love with great acting performances in the future."
Jo Bo-ah made her debut in 2012 with the tvN drama Shut Up Flower Boy Band and has since appeared in various projects, including Horse Doctor, The Man Living in Our House, Temperature of Love, Goodbye to Goodbye, Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Military Prosecutor Doberman, and Destined With You. She has also gained popularity across all age groups through variety shows such as Baek Jong-won's Alley Restaurant and Europe Outside the Tent: South of France.
Given that Jo Bo-ah has never been involved in any dating rumors since her debut, the sudden news of her marriage has surprised many fans. Some speculated whether the marriage announcement could be due to a pre-marital pregnancy.
However, in response to these speculations, the agency firmly told OSEN, "There is absolutely no pre-marital pregnancy." The agency further clarified Jo Bo-ah's plans, stating, "She is currently busy filming for Disney+'s Knock-Off and will continue to focus on filming until next year. Even after her marriage, she plans to remain active as an actress."
Jo Bo-ah has previously expressed her desire to get married in various interviews. After the conclusion of the MBC drama Goodbye to Goodbye in 2018, she mentioned in an interview with domestic press, "Many of my friends are getting married at 28 or 29. I also want to get married in my early 30s. I want to get married, have children, and live a normal life in three or four years."
Now, six years later, Jo Bo-ah is fulfilling her wish to marry in her early 30s, as she desired. Fans and netizens are showering her with congratulations and support as she takes this significant step in her life.
