The wedding bells are going to be ringing for Zendaya and Tom Holland in the very near future, a new report claimed.
Since the year 2016, when Tom and Zendaya, both 28 years old, were cast in the film "Spider-Man: Homecoming," the couple who are head over heels in love have been keeping their relationship a secret.
Their relationship has been on and off for a period of time, but they have been in a committed relationship for more than five years now, and the topic of marriage has been brought up in conversation for quite some time, according to an unnamed source.
“Tom’s immature partying days are long behind him. [The Englishborn star] has spent years proving to Zendaya he can be a really great partner and potentially an excellent father. Now they’ve got some time off before the next Spider-Man gears up, so he’s never going to have a clearer path to formally propose and much more importantly, to plan a wedding,” the anonymous insider told GLOBE Magazine.
It is not possible for them to elope at this stage because they are members of each other's families, according to the undisclosed informant, therefore the next big question is determining where they will get married.
“The real issue is where to have the wedding — the U.S., England or some neutral territory. Everyone in their friend group thinks they’ll be a married couple by this time next year,” the tipster went on.
Meanwhile, Marissa Tomei, who recently participated in a panel discussion at Fan Expo 2024 in Toronto, recalled with fondness the time she spent watching her co-stars in “Spider-Man,” Tom and Zendaya, "fall in love" while they were working on the films.
“I think some of the favorite things were really just watching Tom and Zendaya grow up and watching them fall in love… and seeing their phenomenal talent. Just being, like, blown away from the the get-go… I mean, I’m blown away,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
“Some people are just meant for it, and they are meant for it,” Marissa added of Tom and Zendaya, who played Parker’s love interest Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson.
“They carry enormous, enormous star power, enormous power and they manage to be real people at the same time and and just, they’re multitalented. They can do everything! They sing, they dance, they act, they do stunts, they design fashion. I mean, what are they not doing? They’re incredible, incredible people,” Marissa went on.
During the promotion of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2017, Tom and Zendaya were initially observed to be romantically linked to one another. In an interview with Elle from the previous year, Zendaya stated that her top concern is "protecting the peace" in their relationship, despite the fact that the couple has become more public in recent years.
