When Nicole Kidman arrived at the Venice Film Festival wearing a breathtaking couture Schiaparelli gown to promote her sensual thriller "Babygirl," which claims to be the most "exposing" picture she has ever made, it was obvious that she could not have been more pleased with the fact that she is still breaking new ground in the world of filmmaking at the age of 57.
Nicole plays the role of Romy, a strong New York executive who has a torrid affair with an intern portrayed by Harris Dickinson. The film is directed by Halina Reijn.
Furthermore, even Nicole, who received a standing ovation for her performance that lasted for seven minutes, found the steamy sex scenes to be unsettling.
“This is something you do and hide in your home videos,” Nicole told Vanity Fair.
As a result of the Oscar anticipation around the film, her husband Keith Urban is already becoming distracted, according to those who are inside the industry.
“Keith loves Nicole for the unique and creative woman she is and is so proud of her, but knowing that he has to endure months of her talking about sex scenes with another man until the film’s release in December is a lot,” an unnamed source told Woman's Day Australia.
While Nicole was competing for the renowned Golden Lion in Venice, Keith made the unusual decision to not be at her side. Instead, he flew into Sydney with their daughter Faith, who is 13 years old, in preparation for a series of performances.
Keith has had to cope with "Eyes Wide Shut" and now "Far And Away" having returned to the news as Tom and Nicole's "honeymoon movie," in addition to Nicole's back history of sensual parts. The most recent film is only the tip of the iceberg for Keith, who has had to deal with all of these things.
“He’s been tearing his hair out with the reminders of his wife’s first marriage," the informant said.
“He’s even threatening to take up acting classes so he can be her next leading man. Keith knows he’s being silly, but it’s true that he’s always been intimidated by her whole acting world and especially the fact her career took off while she was married to Tom. Hearing how Ron [Howard, Far And Away director] had to get to her through Tom was unsettling for Keith. It shows just how much Tom controlled not only her family life, but also her career," it went on.
On the other hand, Nicole has been able to enjoy the final laugh, as she has been receiving award after award for her acting performance ever since she and Tom divorced, while Tom is locked in the realm of sequels, as per The Independent. The only thing that ever makes Keith uncomfortable is when he is reminded of her prior marriage.
“He’s the first to say he hasn’t a clue about making movies, but it’s always a worry for Keith that he’s unable to connect to her via her art," the mole shared.
The fact that he married his musical muse is evidence that she has been nothing but an inspiration for his work, and she does everything in her power to support him in this way. He despises the fact that he is unable to repay the favor.
“Part of him will never stop being insecure about anyone who gets to work with her as it’s something he’ll never be able to share with her. But sex scenes are another level of fear," the tattle suggested.
Nicole is contemplating casting Keith in the role of one of her lovers in her upcoming film in order to demonstrate to him how unattractive and awkward the process of filming sexual sequences actually is.
“He’ll never feel insecure or worried again! The only reason she won’t is because she loves what they have together and wants to keep it just for them," the spy claimed.
