Despite the fact that she has a huge sparkle on her finger, Lady Gaga recently disclosed that she owes her mother, Cynthia, the credit for introducing her to her fiance, Michael Polansky, at the time.

After gushing over the enterpreneur's generosity and brilliance, the Grammy winner, who is 38 years old, revealed in the most recent issue of Vogue that it was actually her mother who was the one who first met Michael, who is in his forties. She then reported back to the singer of "Bad Romance" that she had "I think I just met your husband!"

Lady Gaga claims that she was first reluctant, and she told Cynthia that she was not yet prepared to meet any potential marriage candidates. Despite this, she was delighted to meet Michael at the 40th birthday celebration where Sean Parker, the founder of Facebook, was participating.

Her recollection of their "amazing conversation" was that they had a conversation that lasted for three hours. The couple ultimately went out on their first date after conversing over the phone for a period of three weeks.

“Mom was right,” Lady Gaga said, adding that the pair quickly fell in love! “I had never met anyone like Michael,” the "Bad Romance" songstress gushed, adding, “We are right for each other.”

According to the singer's explanation in a recent interview with Vogue, Lady Gaga was introduced to Polinsky for the first time by her mother, who had the opportunity to spend time with him in 2019 at a charitable event.

“My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’” Lady Gaga remembered. “I could never have imagined that my mom…found the most perfect person for me?”

After some time had passed, in December, the singer known for "Born This Way" received an invitation to attend the birthday celebration of Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster and Polansky's longtime associate.

“I got invited and I said, I wonder if Michael is going to be there, and my mom said yes,” Lady Gaga said.

The only objective that Lady Gaga had in mind while attending the party was to locate the man that her mother had chosen for her. “So I went to the party and I kept asking for him and he finally came over to me and we talkerd for three hours. We had the most amazing conversation," she said.

“I didn’t know much about her and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect,” Polansky relayed the story of their initial encounter to the media outlet. “I was struck immediately by her warmth and openness—she was so genuinely curious about what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.”

After an initial encounter that was nothing short of amazing, it didn't take long for Gaga and Polansky to take their relationship to the next level. “We went on our first date and just fell in love,” the "Joker: Folie à Deux" star said. “And then COVID hit.”

Earlier this year, in the spring, the two lovebirds reportedly announced their engagement to one another. They’re both extremely happy and excited about this moment in their relationship,” an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight. Looks like her mom was right after all!
