At first glance, she appeared to be a typical mother who was out for a stroll with her husband and children on a Saturday morning. Cameron Diaz was happy as she pushed a stroller with her young boy, Cardinal, tucked inside of it.

She was wearing a baggy black T-shirt and leggings, a pair of Birkenstock sandals, and a pair of enormous eyeglasses. During their stroll through Montecito, California, the celebrity-filled beachside enclave two hours north of Los Angeles, where they purchased a $12.67 million property two years ago, the family was accompanied by their daughter Raddix, who was four years old and wearing Mickey Mouse pajamas and pink cowboy boots and was holding Benji Madden’s hand.

After dating for a little over a year, Cameron tied the knot with Benji, a rocker from Good Charlotte who was 45 years old. Nearly five years later, when Cameron was 47 years old, they brought their daughter into the world, apparently with the use of a surrogate. In March of this year, they made the announcement that they had a son, who was also apparently born through surrogacy.

“Cameron’s journey to motherhood was a long one. But she never gave up hope it would happen for her someday. Now that she’s a mom of two, she feels incredibly blessed — there’s not a day that goes by that she doesn’t consider herself the luckiest woman on the planet. Being a mom comes so naturally to Cameron. She enjoys everything about it, even the messes!” an unnamed source told InTouch Weekly.

In order to devote her time and energy to her family, the actress from "Charlie's Angels" decided to take a lengthy break from the film industry. Her first film since 2014, titled "Back in Action," will be released in theaters in January, as per PEOPLE.

“She’s in awe of these kids. She’s up early and late to bed. She’s making baby food from scratch, playing with Cardinal and singing him lullabies, reading storybooks and playing games with Raddix,” the anonymous insider shared.

The pair has benefited greatly from traveling outside of Los Angeles.

“They’ve had a wonderful summer. Having a new baby around has brought them so much joy. They’ve realized they don’t need all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Walks on the beach or a quiet dinner at home — that’s what satisfies them these days, though once in a while they’ll enjoy a dinner out somewhere nice,” the undisclosed informant said, noting like they did on Aug. 30, when famous friends Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger were there together in the celebration of Cameron's 52nd birthday at Tre Lune.

Never before has Cameron and Benji's relationship been more strong. “Their marriage is in a great place, to the point that a lot of their celeb friends come to them for relationship advice. They both value family above all else," the tipster said.

Despite the fact that they have never appeared in a film together, Cameron, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon have a long history of working together. “They’ve been friends for years, and Cameron will often turn to them for parenting advice,” the mole revealed.

As part of the celebrations for the fourth anniversary of Cameron's organic wine brand, Avaline, the three A-list celebrities got back together in July. “They had a blast, and of course talked about their kids the whole time!” the spy said.
