Kaia Gerber went to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, on September 3, to celebrate this momentous occasion. She rode "Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: Breakout!" and "Radiator Springs Racers," posed with costumed characters from Pixar's "Inside Out," indulged in churros and giant pickles, and even wore iconic mouse ears in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
The model, her famous parents Cindy Crawford, 58, and Rande Gerber, 62, as well as her brother Presley, 25, and a few close friends, were all present at her birthday celebration.
"Obviously spent my birthday at the most mature place on Earth," Kaia joked to her Instagram followers.
It appears that Kaia's partner of more than two years, Austin Butler, has not been seen with her. Currently, there are many who are pondering whether the absence of the "Elvis" actor is due to more than just scheduling conflicts.
"Kaia had a blast with her family and friends at Disney, but Austin's absence was very noticeable," an insider of Life & Style Magazine said. "It sparked rumors that the romance is over."
After all, Kaia had been there with Austin, 33 years old, in celebrating his own birthday a month earlier. On August 17, the notoriously private couple was seen going around Manhattan hand in hand. These two were seen together for the last time.
"She celebrated his birthday with him this summer, but he didn't return the favor," the insider noted. "That seems a little odd."
The ten million people who follow the "Saturday Night" actress on Instagram received yet another possible sign that things might have taken a turn for the couple the week before her birthday in their relationship. Known for her passion for reading and her role as the founder of the Library Science book club, Kaia posted a picture of herself reading a book with the title "Dear Dickhead," which caused many people to raise their eyebrows.
"A book for someone I used to know," she coyly captioned the post.
A passage from the book written by the French author Virginie Despentes was highlighted and pointed out on the second slide of the presentation.
"At this point, your sheer dumbf---ery commands a certain respect," the lines rea. "But it doesn't change the basics: I don't give a s-- about you. All my love to your sister, she was a wonderful friend."
It is clear that Austin has a strong bond with his one and only sibling, Ashley Lucas, as evidenced by the fact that he invited her to attend the Golden Globe show in 2023. On the other hand, it is important to note that Kaia's former boyfriends, Pete Davidson and Jacob Elordi, both have sisters of their own.
"She is very private when it comes to relationships, so don't expect Kaia to clarify whom her dig was directed toward. If there is trouble in paradise with Austin, she won't say anything official," the insider stated. "Hopefully, it's nothing, but the whispers the two have broken up are getting louder."
