A little over two years have passed since the Queen of England passed away in a calm and serene manner at Balmoral in Scotland. The formal death certificate of the monarch was made public at the same time as the nation entered a period of national mourning and the entire globe reflected on her extraordinary reign. The cause of death, which was indicated on the document, was simply old age.

In spite of the fact that many people had anticipated that the passing of the Queen would help to mend the divide that existed between Prince Harry and The Firm, it appears that the moment of grief has only served to exacerbate tensions within the royal family.

In a prior statement, Prince Harry disclosed that he had a passionate conversation with his father, King Charles, on the day that his grandmother passed away. “Spare,” the Duke of Sussex's incendiary memoir, contains details of his rush to get to Scotland to be by his grandmother's bedside. Unfortunately, he did not make it before she took her last breath.

Due to the fact that they had been on a brief tour of Europe, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were present in the United Kingdom at the time of the funeral for the Queen. As they were getting ready to go to the WellChild Awards in London, they were aware of the deterioration in Her Majesty's health.

In his book, Prince Harry asserted that King Charles advised him not to bring his wife with him to Balmoral, despite the fact that it is highly probable that Prince Harry would have desired Meghan to be by his side during his time of sorrow, as per CNN.

"Don't ever speak about my wife that way,” Prince Harry said in response to King Charles' shocking statement about prohibiting Meghan from seeing the dying Queen Elizabeth.

His death certificate states that the Queen passed away at 3:10 p.m., which indicates that many members of the royal family were not present at the time of her passing. Prince Harry, for example, was on a flight from Luton Airport that took departure at 5:35 p.m. The official announcement of the death of the king was made at 6.30 p.m., and the jet carrying the Duke of Sussex successfully landed in Aberdeen at 6.46 p.m.

It has been stated that Prince Harry did not learn that his grandma had passed away until he checked the internet while he was on the airplane. This is due to the fact that Harry was still traveling at the time the tragic news broke.

In his book, Prince Harry describes how he was thinking about the last time he was with his grandmother and what they had been discussing. At that moment, he received a notice on his phone. He had been thinking about what they had been talking about.

"When the plane started to descend I saw that my phone lit up. It was a message from Meg: 'Call me when you get this.' I looked at the BBC website. My grandmother had died. My father was King,” Prince Harry stated, as per The Mirror.

He went on to explain that when he did finally arrive at Balmoral, Princess Anne took him to the upper floor, where she took him to "Granny's bedroom" so that he may pay his respects during his visit. In addition, Prince Harry expressed his regret over the fact that he was never able to meet his mother, Princess Diana, because she passed away in a vehicle accident in 1997 when he was only 12 years old.

Prior to moving to California in the United States during the summer of 2020, the Sussexes resigned from their positions as working royals in March of that same year. Particularly after their interview with Oprah Winfrey, the release of "Spare," and the release of Prince Harry and Meghan's bombshell Netflix documentary, the couple's relationship with the rest of the Firm has become significantly more fragmented since they moved.
