Jennifer Aniston is not in a hurry to walk down the aisle for a third time, but she does have a checklist for the next individual who attracts her, a new report claimed.
The actress from "Friends" is optimistic that a man with a passion for pets and a sense of humor will enter her life following her divorce from her ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2005 and her 2017 separation from Justin Theroux.
"Jen is looking for someone she can trust, who makes her laugh — humor is a huge part of what she’s looking for," a news outlet was informed by a source. "And, of course, they must love dogs!"
In a 2022 interview, Aniston acknowledged that she had no "interest" in remarrying but would "love a relationship."
"There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, ‘I need support,'" she told Us Weekly. "It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody’s arms and say, ‘That was a tough day.’ "
Nevertheless, Aniston is content with concentrating on her friends for now. According to a second source, her close friendships are "central to her life and provide her with emotional support," both within and outside of Hollywood, GLOBE Magazine reported.
The initial source states, "She’s kept her circle very small for many years and hasn’t added too many people to her close confidants."
She has an ex-partner among those acquaintances. According to reports, Aniston and Theroux were married in 2015, and despite their romantic separation in 2017, they maintain an "enduring connection."
A source disclosed that they have "stayed in touch and remained best friends" over the years, especially during his relationship with his fiancée, Nicole Brydon Bloom, as OK! Magazine previously reported.
"It might feel weird to regular folks, but you have to remember, Jen and Justin are not ordinary people!" the insider added. "[They're] rewriting the rules of post-divorce relationships, Hollywood-style."
Theroux acknowledged earlier this year that he remains "protective" of the "Just Go With It" star, particularly after she responded to vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance's negative comments about "childless cat ladies."
"She is still very dear to me so, of course, yeah, I feel protective," he said in a September interview. "But she batted back criticism, as well she should."
The insider discussed Aniston's romantic relationships with Us Weekly in an interview.
