A plan to flee to Portugal is being hatched by the royal family with the assistance of Princess Eugenie.

It is the sole familial connection that has endured since Prince Harry's marriage to his wife Meghan, and now the son of the King has made a significant decision to cement his relations with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank even further.

Prince Harry, who is 40, was said to have purchased a Portuguese mansion for several millions of dollars in the Alentejo region. The property is located not far from the residence of his cousin, who is 34, and her spouse, who is 38.

"This base in Portugal is ideal for Harry in several ways. It's a hop-skip to London, without having to take on any security issues that a home in the UK would cause, and it's happening thanks to the help and advice of people Harry trusts, Eugenie and Jack," the source told Woman’s Day Australia. “The whole area has become a mecca for the A-list and billionaires it's the new hidden St Tropez."

Prince Harry and Meghan were first seen in the region in September last year after the Invictus Games were held in Germany. Eugenie's husband, Jack, may have been involved in purchasing the property.

Most, if not all, royal followers are aware that Prince Harry is estranged from the rest of his family, so being geographically close to Eugenie may help alleviate his sense of loss. The two couples grew close when Harry and Meghan began dating, Hindustan Times reported.

"It's no secret Harry's homesick and being a few very accessible hours away from his sick father will give him peace of mind,” the insider said.

Their new home is located in an area characteristic of the people Prince Harry spent his childhood with; however, the most significant advantage will be that his children will have the opportunity to grow up knowing Eugenie and her children, August, who is three years old, and Ernest, who is sixteen months old, as per The Sun.

"He worries about their inexperience being around royalty, If Lilibet [three] and Archie (five are right on the royals' doorstep at some point it will be hard for even William to completely exclude them," the spy revealed.

Additionally, the European base will provide Prince Harry with the ideal escape route in the event that his relationship with Meghan continues to deteriorate. There are also rumors that things are in a precarious state, as he celebrated his fortieth birthday with his friends and has been traveling alone ever since.

Prince Harry is a highly proud individual who cannot tolerate being made fun of. Having a publication considered the bible of the industry, such as The Hollywood Reporter, attack Meghan, as they did earlier this month, has been quite embarrassing. Therefore, it is unsurprising that this "second home" option has suddenly become available, according to the insider.

From an official standpoint, it is a second home for Prince Harry, Meghan, and the children; nevertheless, if they cannot recover from their major failure in California, this location would be the ideal haven for them, as it has a direct connection to the palace.
