Reese Witherspoon is still on good terms with her ex-husband, Jim Toth, as they co-parent their young son, Tennessee. However, a source who has worked closely with both Jim and Reese in the recent past claimed that the former super-agent feels like a forgotten man in many ways and finds her new romance with billionaire Oliver Haarmann a hard reality to grapple with.

“You have to credit Jim for the money he made while he and Reese were married and were business partners,” an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly. “Jim really was a key player in Reese building out her company, Hello Sunshine, and helping her to sell it for nine figures.”

After separating from actor Jake Gyllenhaal in February 2010, the 48-year-old "Sweet Home Alabama" star began dating Tim, 54. In 2011, the couple married and welcomed their only child, Tennessee, in 2012, as per PEOPLE Magazine.

Although the two initially enjoyed a harmonious relationship following the birth of their son, a different source previously informed In Touch Weekly that "they had been living separate lives for years" at the time of their separation in April 2023.

“Their marriage became one of convenience over love,” that source stated, “transactional so to speak.”

Jim and his wife, the actress from "Big Little Lies," appeared more compatible as business companions than spouses, POPSUGAR reported. The CAA agent was a capable individual before encountering Reese; however, his business sense and industry knowledge enabled her to increase her net worth to $300 million.

Her work in Hollywood and Hello Sunshine achieved this, which "aims to broaden perspective and empower women by giving them authorship, inspiring agency, and creating a platform to help them shape culture.”

According to the first source, Jim had hoped to turn his A-list marriage into even greater success despite the fact that they both departed the relationship with more wealth than they had entered.

Jim was never completely content with his job as a talent agent; nonetheless, his years spent at CAA and his subsequent relationship with Reese afforded him a certain amount of influence and fame in the community, both of which have completely vanished over the past few years.

A source close to the situation indicated that Jim emerged from the marriage with tens of millions of cash, while Reese still possesses hundreds of millions of dollars of her own. However, the divorce was meant to herald the beginning of a new chapter for Jim, one in which he could reinvent himself and increase his many millions of dollars to at least one billion.

Unfortunately, that has not occurred for Jim, and instead, he is forced to deal with the reality that Reese has begun a relationship with Oliver Haarmann, a man who is more successful than Jim in every conceivable way.

Reese has been observed in public displaying her new billionaire boyfriend, which the insider admits has been "humbling for Jim, who still sees Reese all the time and is still very involved with coparenting duties with her.”

“Now, he’s just like any other single dad driving his kids to sports practice, and you can really see it all over Jim’s face that it doesn’t feel good. The poor guy is a shadow of his former self," the informant went on.
