Former Liam Payne was so drugged and acting insane that a hotel clerk feared he would hurt himself before he died from his third-floor balcony in Argentina, Globe reports.
Buenos Aires officials suspect the 31-year-old singer, who reputedly bequeathed his $60 million fortune to his love kid Bear, 7, was alone in a smashed-up room when he fell and died on October 16. His autopsy showed drug use, as per BBC.
"My life now is his, my money is his [Bear's]," Liam said two years ago. "I have actually got several companies that are up and running that I know he can run one day if he wants to or [he can sell them]."
He had 25 injuries, but the autopsy determined brain and skull damage "were sufficiently suitable to cause death."
The examiner also identified "pink cocaine"—a mix of methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and more—cocaine, crack, and benzodiazepine in the British singer.
Sources suggest two women visited him before the fall, despite his supposed solitude.
A hotel employee called 911 to report Payne, who had "overindulged in drugs and alcohol," trashing his room minutes before his afternoon death plummet.
"In the afternoon, police personnel from Precinct 14B were directed to the hotel by a 911 call reporting an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol," a report said.
The employee told 911 he worried Payne would hurt or kill himself, he said: "Well, when he is conscious he breaks... the whole room. We need someone to be sent to us urgently, because well, I don't know if he is at risk.”
"The guest is in a room that has a balcony, and, well, we are a little afraid that he might do something life-threatening," he added.
The local prosecutor reported "everything indicates that the musician was alone when the fall occurred, and that he was going through some kind of breakdown as a result of substance abuse.”
"All the injuries on the body were vital and produced at the same time, and that no injuries were observed that could suggest the intervention of third parties," the prosecutor added, TODAY.com reported.
Sources said the TV was shattered and drug paraphernalia and white powder were dispersed.
Liam died in Florida while renting a $1.73 million, five-bedroom Spanish villa with pool and tennis court for $9,500 a month with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, Hello Magazine reported.
He also owned a nearby home and assisted his baby mama, “Girls Aloud” singer Cheryl Ann Tweedy, 41, and their son Bear buy a $5 million mansion in England. He recently stated, "I take my son to school one or two times a week and it's the best thing."
