After twelve years together, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake experienced a setback.

They are not really in sync. Silk or fine linens are the traditional gifts given to a couple who has been married for twelve years. On the other hand, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel would have been content with a private evening out by themselves.

A source who talked with Star Magazine stated that the couple, who are parents to two sons named Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4, are going through a "rough patch," and that their anniversary celebration was not all roses and champagne. This is even though they have been showing affection toward one another.

The singer of "Can't Stop the Feeling" paid tribute to his wife onstage during his performance in Montreal on October 4, one of the dates on his "Forget Tomorrow" world tour. The following day, he uploaded a video of the moment to his TikTok account.

"It's also a very special evening for me," he told the audience at the Bell Centre as Jessica, wearing a baseball cap, watched him nearby. "My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12-year anniversary."

After kissing her, Justin added, "So be nice to her, Montreal, because she's sharing me with all of you guys tonight."

Although Jessica traveled to Puglia, Italy, to be with her husband on the anniversary of their wedding, the couple certainly did not feel isolated. However, because of the presence of thousands of fans, they were unable to achieve the level of solitude and closeness that is necessary for a romantic celebration, The Economic Times reported.

"She had to share him with thousands of fans," the source told Star Magazine. "And when Justin wrapped for the night, they were still surrounded by people backstage. It wasn't very romantic."

The insider explained that after Jessica forgave Justin for his public, drunken flirtation with "Palmer" costar Alisha Wainwright in 2019, his arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol in June re-upped the tension between them, and it has not been healed, as per PEOPLE Magazine.

"Justin has more work to do to heal their relationship before they can get back to what they once had," the source explained, adding that "a lot" of guilt is something that the vocalist of "Cry Me a River" feels. "He knows trust takes a lot of time to rebuild, but it's frustrating for him all the same."
