Justin Timberlake is currently experiencing an uphill struggle in certain aspects of his marriage, particularly about their love life, despite his efforts to maintain a positive relationship with Jessica Biel, a new report claimed.
“Just because Justin is committed to the marriage, it doesn’t mean Jessica’s not still struggling with a lot of trust issues. It’s going to take a while for them to get their sizzle back because she’s still very wary of him," an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly.
On June 18, the 43-year-old singer of "SexyBack" was apprehended in Sag Harbor, New York, for driving while intoxicated. The arrest occurred after the pop icon declined to submit to a breathalyzer test following a night out at the American Hotel. He entered a guilty plea to the less severe charge of driving while ability impaired in September, which resulted in a $500 fine and 25 hours of community service.
Another insider told PEOPLE Magazine that the story garnered national attention. Considering that she "enjoys privacy," Jessica, 42, was "not happy about."
The musician from "Mirrors" has been "doing everything he can" to "make up for" the humiliating incident, according to that insider.
The unexpected turn of events has taken aback the 7th Heaven alum, and the initial source has stated, “The fact is, Justin isn’t back to normal, either.”
“He’s still very tightly wound and stressed over what happened. Even if he’s on his best behavior, there’s a kind of an awkwardness and attention around him that doesn’t really make for very romantic, sexy nights together.”
In 2007, the vocalist of "Say Something" and his actress wife were initially associated, Cosmopolitan reported. In 2011, they momentarily separated before reconciling and engaging in December of the same year. In October 2012, they exchanged vows and welcomed two children: Silas, nine, and Phineas, four.
“He’s tired a lot, as well, because the tour is taking a lot out of him. They tried to do a big romantic date night for their 12th anniversary – she went to visit him in Montreal on tour and there were very big expectations. But apparently it fell a little flat because a lot of emotional issues came up. It wasn’t the carefree, sexy fun night he was banking on.” The insider informs that the detention threatens their marriage.
Justin's alcoholism has been detrimental to their relationship on numerous occasions. In November 2019, footage of the Friends with Benefits actor was released, which appeared to depict him holding hands with Alisha Wainwright, his co-star in the film they were filming at the time, Palmer. Alisha, 35, was also seen in another photograph with her palm resting on his thigh.
“A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better,” the pop star publicly apologized to his wife in writing.
For them to return to the relationship they previously shared and demonstrate that he has matured due to this experience and is someone she can trust one hundred percent, the source admitted that he still has more work to do to restore their relationship.
