As a result of his defiant defense of his driving while intoxicated arrest, pop singer Justin Timberlake has lost followers and supporters within the business.

There was a recent report that stated that the singer's behavior in the aftermath of his imprisonment has the potential to completely derail his career.

Justin, who is 43 years old, did not publicly admit that he had committed a "mistake" as a result of getting behind the wheel after drinking with pals until he was offered a plea bargain that reduced the charges against him.

"This is a case of Justin's Type-A, never-back-down personality getting the best of him and causing real damage. He has some really experienced publicists and managers offering sound advice, but he's not listening to them,” an anonymous insider told Radar Online.

In most circumstances, those who are knowledgeable about the entertainment industry have recommended that the best course of action in situations such as Justin is to admit culpability, apologize, and accept responsibility for what occurred. When he moved to have his case dismissed, however, the singer gave the impression that he was trying to avoid accountability.

In addition, Justin Timberlake has made an effort to make light of the issue by making jokes during a recent tour stop in Boston.

"So, uh, is there anyone here tonight that is driving? No, I'm just kidding,” Justin previously told the crowd.

"This kind of behavior really speaks to the dark side of his personality. He's a guy who loves a fight, even when he should know it's a losing battle,” the undisclosed informant shared.

During the month of June, the musician known for his hit "Sexy Back" made news when he was stopped in the exclusive neighborhood of Sag Harbor on Long Island for allegedly running a stop sign.

According to the police, the 43-year-old individual had bloodshot eyes that were blurry, breath that had "a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage," slurred speech, and an unsteady gait.

Justin stated to the officer who made the arrest that he had only had one drink, and he entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of driving while drunk.

"This arrest has already spoiled some of his career plans – and now his overzealous defense is on the verge of absolutely destroying his reputation. There are a lot of people begging Justin to not go down this road,” the mole shared.

It was revealed in Justin’s arrest report that he failed repeated field sobriety tests and declined to take a breathalyzer on three separate occasions, despite the fact that he insisted that he was not driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. As a consequence of this, his license was revoked in New York during a hearing that took place earlier.

Justin ultimately conceded that he committed a "mistake" during a sentencing hearing that took place last week. This admission came after sources claimed that his defense threatened to cost him his career.

Because of this, his sentence had been reduced from driving while intoxicated to driving while impaired. The statements were made by Justin to the reporters outside of the courthouse.

"I try to hold myself to a very high standard of myself. And this was not that. This was not that. I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision, but I've had some time to reflect on that. What I'd like to say to everyone watching and listening, even if you've had one drink, don't get behind the wheel of a car. There are so many alternatives – call a friend, take an Uber, there are many travel apps, take a taxi. This is a mistake that I made, but I'm hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have,” Justin stated, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
