With the intention of re-establishing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as two of the most influential people in the world and providing them with the opportunity to demonstrate to their celebrity neighbors what they are capable of, the birthday party was supposed to be the birthday party that would end all birthday parties.
Prince Harry, who turned 40 on September 15, has informed his wife Meghan, who is 43 years old, to scale back the plans to an intimate gathering of close friends at their $20 million California estate. Instead of going all out with a million-dollar blowout, Prince Harry has decided to cut back the preparations.
“For months leading up to Harry’s birthday, Montecito was buzzing with party preparations and Meghan told pals they want to have a huge proper Hollywood party for his 40th. Clearly this was important to her. She’s keen to showcase her ‘happy husband’ and their perfect star-studded glam life in California," an unnamed source told Woman's Day Australia.
On the other hand, just a few weeks ago, all of the conversation about the party stopped, and the initial excitement had entirely dissipated. This most likely occurred once Prince Harry discovered that his old friends from the United Kingdom might not be able to make it. In the meantime, it seems that Meghan is having trouble attracting people from the A-list.
She had only received confirmed RSVPs from Ellen and Portia, and there were just a few days left until the event. Who knows what will take place in Sussex country on the big day, but the initial plan was to hold a garden party at the home with full catering, marquees, a string quartet, and a short performance with Chris Martin on the mic. However, the plans have since changed.
The fact that Prince Harry's royal cousins were still undecided about whether or not they intended to fly over added to the chaos that was already present.
"Harry did invite Beatrice and Eugenie, and he even asked his father if he would be interested in giving a Zoom address. However, Harry is getting the message extremely loud and clear: unless it has something to do with Archie and Lilibet, the royals are not very eager in participating in the event," the anonymous insider stated.
With Posh and Becks, who are now important members of Team Wales, the situation is exactly the same. It is extremely improbable that they would even consider going off the deep end in order to be there at Prince Harry's birthday celebration, PEOPLE Magazine reported.
The guest list is not the only thing that is generating difficulties, according to the sources that we can identify. Meghan's desire to "put on a good show" came with a high price tag, and somebody was hoping that Harry's soon-to-be-acquired family fortune, which is rumored to be the enormous sum of sixteen million dollars as part of the Queen Mother's secret testament, could be used to finance the event!
As soon as Prince Harry saw how much money she intended to spend on his big bash, he was taken aback. However, Meghan argued that he earned it because of his fortune.
"Given everything that they have been through over the past few years, Meghan simply assumed that Harry wouldn't mind spending a portion of that money to appropriately celebrate his milestone, and she even planned a lavish boy's getaway with friends in the mountains," the undisclosed informant stated.
On the other hand, Prince Harry cautioned her in no clear terms to avoid squandering money. Putting their inheritance down for their future is something he wants to do, in particular for Archie, who is five years old, and Lili, who is three years old.
Prince Harry's 40th birthday is just another reminder of the various friends and family members he has lost over the course of the past several years, and he simply wants to spend his special day with his wife and their children.
"The best gift I've ever been given is, without a doubt, my children... [I] love being their father," the Duke of Sussex stated.
