Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake's wife, is still awaiting concrete evidence that he is not merely talking a load of baloney in an attempt to wiggle his way out of trouble following his arrest for driving while impaired on June 17.
“It’s become so tiresome for people in Justin’s world to hear these apologies they’re not quite sure he means,” an unnamed source told In Touch Weekly. “He’s got a serious reputation for being a spoiled brat and the big question is whether he’ll ever straighten up for the long run or keep living in denial over his problems. His sense of entitlement is the biggest issue.”
Jessica, 42, is "being so patient" with her spouse of 12 years, according to the insider.
“While a lot of people think she’s a little brainwashed, the people that know her well insist she’s got a lot more backbone than the public realizes. She’s very good at making a show of supporting him for the cameras, but privately she’s a tough cookie and has let it be known he’s on thin ice with her,” the anonymous insider said.
In the early morning hours of June 17, the 43-year-old singer of "Cry Me a River" was apprehended in Sag Harbor, New York, following a supper with friends, as per USA Today. According to reports, he failed his field sobriety tests and was found to be "operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition" after declining to submit to a chemical test.
Justin was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and issued citations for failure to maintain lane position and for running a stop sign. The "Not A Bad Thing" singer consented to a plea agreement three months after his arrest, which necessitated his guilty plea to a less severe traffic offense in exchange for the dismissal of his DWI charge.
Justin acknowledged that he had made a "mistake" in a public statement that was disseminated in response to his plea. According to a previous source, the singer's most recent scandal served as a "wake-up call" for his wife.
“Justin has humiliated her again,” an undisclosed informant stated in June. “This could all lead to a divorce bombshell. No one would be shocked if Jessica issued Justin an ultimatum: Get help — or it’s over.”
Although there is still hope for their marriage, the most recent tipster has stated, “As much as she doesn’t want a divorce, if Justin doesn’t get his act together and start consistently putting in the work on himself and proving that he’s changed, she will walk.”
Jessica and Justin were initially connected in 2007 when they encountered each other at a birthday party for a mutual acquaintance, which was hosted by the "SexyBack" singer, PEOPLE Magazine reported. In December 2011, Justin proposed to the couple after years of on-again, off-again relationships. The following October, they exchanged vows in Italy.
In the decade that has passed, the couple has endured numerous scandals, such as the release of intimate photos of the "Friends With Benefits" actor engaging in intimate conversation with his co-star Alisha Wainwright in New Orleans in November 2019. Justin subsequently apologized, referring to the incident as a "strong lapse in judgment." Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4, are the children of Justin and Jessica.
