Leonardo DiCaprio is not engaged to his model girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, despite online speculation suggesting that the "Titanic" star proposed.
The rumors allegedly originated from an emailed tip on the popular fan-driven gossip platform Deux Moi.
Nonetheless, a source informed PageSix that this is merely an Internet rumor. The insider indicated that engagement rumors regarding the actor, who recently had his 50th birthday on November 11, arise monthly.
Previous engagement rumors emerged in March when Ceretti, 26, was observed sporting a fresh ring on her left hand.
She displayed the ornament while the Hollywood actor and the Italian model were dining at Yuca's, a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles.
The pair initially ignited dating speculation in the summer of 2023 when they were observed on the dance floor at a club in trendy Ibiza, Spain.
Months later, it was reported that the "Shutter Island" actor and Ceretti had a serious relationship.
An informant said they have been spending considerable time together in recent months and appreciate the opportunity to deepen their acquaintance.
They celebrated the last Thanksgiving in London with her family, as per SheFinds. Ceretti has been observed forming a connection with the A-lister’s mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, and his old friend, “Spider-Man” actor Tobey Maguire.
DiCaprio's notable ex-girlfriends include models Camila Morrone, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli, and Nina Agdal.
Ceretti, Maguire, Steven Spielberg, Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Dr. Dre, Jamie Foxx, and Paris Hilton attended his latest birthday party.
Other prominent celebrities who were observed commemorating the actor included Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Robin Thicke, and Mark Ruffalo.
Social media was inundated with replies to the engagement assertions as admirers and doubters expressed their opinions.
“Leo engaged? That’s gotta be a first… if it’s true!” a fan stated. “Every year it’s a new rumor. When will people let this man live?” a netizen wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Vittoria and Leo would be iconic, but I doubt he’s giving up his single life anytime soon," another X user said.
“Another month, another ring on a girlfriend’s hand. Classic Leo headlines!” a critic shared. “Can’t wait for the next rumor. This one lasted a week," a fifth source penned. “The Deux Moi tip is always fun, but engagement? Nah," another netizen commented.
