It was reported that Geoff, Liam Payne's father, was concerned about his son's welfare after the late One Direction vocalist released a bodyguard who was supposedly attempting to prevent him from consuming drugs.

Liam, who was 31 years old, regrettably passed away in October after falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is reported that Liam was intoxicated and causing a disturbance in the lobby on the day of his death before the intervention of hotel staff. Drugs were also detected in his system, as indicated by the toxicology report.

The singer was likely in a state of "semi or total unconsciousness" when he fell, and authorities ruled out suicide. They also attributed the tragedy to a substance-induced "psychotic episode."

Documents indicate that Liam's father had been preoccupied with his son's welfare for an extended period and believed that he must remain occupied and never be left alone. TMZ reported that Liam's concerns were reportedly worsened in September after he dismissed a bodyguard who was attempting to prevent him from using drugs.

This announcement follows the disclosure of new information regarding the events that transpired before Liam's death. Specifically, it was reported that the singer was attempting to flee his hotel room while carrying a piece of luggage.

According to witnesses and a police report, the hotel knew Liam's intentions to use the balcony as a means of escape. However, Liam was abandoned. According to reports, the star struggled with feelings of confinement during his tenure with One Direction, frequently exhibiting a profound aversion to being confined to a hotel room.

A leather bag, allegedly belonging to Liam, was mysteriously left on the balcony of a second-floor hotel guest. The bag contained a bottle of Jack Daniels, pills, and a note labeled "for Liam." The discovery was harrowing. According to sources, the luggage may have been lowered onto the balcony from Liam's room in an attempt to flee.

Unfortunately, Liam's corpse was discovered with a bag draped over his shoulder, suggesting that he had indeed intended to exit the room.

During a guest appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast in 2021, Liam disclosed his anxiety about hotel accommodations and the potential for overwhelming loneliness when confined. "My dad said it from day one - lonely hotel rooms, man - getting locked in that room is not fun when you've been exposed," Liam stated.

Liam's death and the circumstances surrounding it have provoked intense emotions from fans and the public. Many have utilized social media to convey their sorrow and apprehension about the challenges young artists encounter.

"Heartbreaking to hear about Liam Payne. The industry needs to do more to support artists' mental health," a netizen stated. "Liam's struggles show how important it is to have a strong support system. Rest in peace," another X user shared.

"As a parent, I can't imagine the pain Geoff Payne is going through. My thoughts are with the family," a third source said. "This tragedy highlights the need for better mental health resources for celebrities. They are human too," another fan noted.

"The entertainment industry must address the isolation and pressures it places on young stars," a fifth netizen responded. "Liam Payne's death is a wake-up call. We need to prioritize mental health and support for everyone," another X user furthered.
