In the company of their families, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce celebrated Thanksgiving together.

It has been confirmed by a source who spoke exclusively to PEOPLE, that the pop singer, who is 34 years old, and the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who is 35 years old, celebrated the holiday together and brought both of their families along with them.

Taylor and her family, including her father, Scott, and her mother, Andrea, reportedly welcomed the Kelces to Nashville. After his trip to Nashville, Travis prepared for the Chiefs' triumph over the Las Vegas Raiders on November 29.

"Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families," the source told PEOPLE, recalling how the "Karma" singer was in South America for the Eras Tour around Thanksgiving weekend last year. "It's the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together."

"Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year," the source added. "Travis' brother Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special."

Travis' mother, Donna, appeared on the Today Show a week before Thanksgiving. During the interview, she stated that it is highly probable that Taylor will not be joining the Kelces family for the holiday. Some individuals are keeping up with the Kelces family, and this information could come as a surprise to them.

"I don't think so. She's kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do," said Donna, 72, referring to Taylor's record-breaking Eras Tour, which wraps up on Dec. 8, a source told Daily Mail.

Donna added that "football is always the holidays" for her family, noting that her loved ones had not planned to have a Thanksgiving dinner.

"I think we're just going to be at the football game," she said.

Although Taylor and Travis keep the specifics of their relationship relatively quiet, the Chiefs tight end recently discussed how well things are going on an edition of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with Jason, who is 37 years old.

During the program that aired on November 13, Travis made a brief statement in which he and his brother described themselves as "two people very happy in relationships."

The unforeseen Thanksgiving gathering between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce provoked a surge of responses across social media platforms. Both supporters and detractors expressed their viewpoints.

"Taylor and Travis celebrating Thanksgiving together? This is the crossover we didn't know we needed! ️" a fan said.

"Travis Kelce scoring touchdowns AND Taylor Swift? The man is winning on and off the field!" a second fan quipped.

"Donna said Taylor wasn't coming, and then this happens? Plot twist of the year. " a third chimed in.

"Blending families is a big step. This relationship seems serious, and I'm here for it!" another netizen wrote.

"Jason must have been the MVP of Thanksgiving! Best brother-in-law in the making?" a fifth suggested.

"I'm just waiting for the holiday album collab. Imagine Taylor and Travis singing carols!" another said.
