Travis Kelce disclosed which song from his girlfriend Taylor Swift's music catalog he "learned to absolutely love." This song is not a permanent fixture of Swift's globally sold-out Eras Tour setlist.
On Wednesday, the 3-time Super Bowl champion disclosed a track from the 14-time Grammy winner's discography that he has developed an appreciation for during a supplemental episode of the "New Heights" podcast.
Travis, 35, stated in an added episode of his "New Heights" podcast on Wednesday, "'Death By a Thousand Cuts' is one that I've learned to absolutely love."
He also stated that he "fell in love with it" with the tenth track on Swift's "Lover" album after witnessing it performed during a 2019 "Tiny Desk" concert by NPR. The track has only been performed a few times during Swift's Eras Tour.
While extolling the song's virtues, Travis inadvertently pronounced "NRP" instead of "NPR," which is the abbreviation for National Public Radio. The NFL star also shared a selection of his girlfriend's other recordings that he enjoys.
Travis, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, discussed their preferred tracks in response to a listener's request that Travis select a single song that he could listen to for "the rest of his life."
The athlete chose the second track from her first pop album, "1989," rather than naming a song that admirers suspect she wrote about him in her most recent double album, "The Tortured Poets Department."
"'Blank Space' is a song that I'll always listen to forever," he stated. "It's just unbelievable, everything about it."
There was no mention of the finale of her Eras tour, "Karma," in which she occasionally sang the updated lyrics, "Karma is the boy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me."
Following this, the actor from "Grotesquerie" expressed his admiration for Swift's "So High School" and "The Alchemy" tracks, which are allegedly intended to refer to the couple's romance.
"I might be a little biased to 'So High School,' " he informed PEOPLE, alluding to Swift's tune, which is rumored to be about him.
He also referred to "Cowboy Like Me" from Swift's "Evermore" album, released in 2020. At the same time, Jason, 37, preferred the song "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart."
The NFL star also discussed the TTPD track during an appearance on the Bussin' With The Boys podcast the following month, admitting that the song has "got a little bit of a sentimental meaning, I guess."
Travis also responded to the idea that he appears in the track by saying, "I think so, I think so, you know what I'm saying."
"You know to ball, I know Aristotle," he concluded with a grimace, referring to the lyrics.
Travis and Swift disclosed their relationship to the public in October 2023. In the preceding month, Swift and Travis sparked dating allegations, and Swift attended numerous Travis' games.
The disclosure of Travis's preferred songs from Swift's repertoire provides fans insight into their personal bond and mutual musical preferences. Netizens were also quick to express their thoughts about Travis's revelations.
