While Beyoncé and Jay-Z were attending the premiere of "Mufasa: The Lion King" as a family, they were filled with pride because they were the parents of their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
According to PageSix, on Monday evening, the music superstars showed their support for their daughter, who was 12 years old at the time, by cheering on her as she posed for solo photographs on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
The Grammy winners were shown in a video distributed by E! News beaming and applauding for their eldest kid when she was in the spotlight.
In addition to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Tina Knowles, the mother of the "Break My Soul" singer, was present at the premiere.
Knowles, who is 70 years old, was seen in the same video clip assisting her granddaughter in repairing the strapless metallic gold dress she wore before she posed for photographers.
Another video uploaded by Entertainment Tonight appeared to show the rapper from "Empire State of Mind" wiping a tear from his eye while watching his daughter.
Beyoncé, who had previously brought attention to herself by wearing a strapless gown with a thigh-high slit, subsequently posted a touching homage to her firstborn child on Instagram.
"My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night," the diva gushed over Carter on the red carpet in the message she included with the photographs she shared. "You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining."
Jay-Z, who is 55 years old, was present at the occasion to show his support for Beyoncé, who is 43, and Carter, who both had voice-acting roles in the next Disney picture.
One day after the "99 Problems" hitmaker was accused of raping a teenage girl in the year 2000, the family went on a surprise outing together, per Variety.
As part of a complaint filed by a Jane Doe on Sunday, the father of three was named alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs. The plaintiff asserts that the two of them assaulted her at an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards.
The rape accusation, which was initially submitted in October, initially just named Combs, who is 55 years old, as a defendant. However, the lawsuit has now been amended to include Jay-Z as a defendant.
The 24-time Grammy winner denied the "heinous" claim and stressed that his "only heartbreak" was for his family. He also stated that the allegations saddened him.
Online commentary surged as netizens received the news.
"Blue Ivy is QUEEN in the making. Beyoncé's genes are unmatched! " one fan said.
"Amazing timing, Jay-Z. Just another rich man dodging accountability," another netizen wrote.
"This is her night. But these allegations cast a dark cloud over the celebration," a third chimed in.
"Blue Ivy's voice as Kiara is perfection. Can't wait for Mufasa!" a fourth follower wrote
"Jay-Z wiping a tear? A bittersweet moment amidst these claims. Stay strong, Carter fam," a netizen said.
"Why are we still celebrating these people when accusations keep piling up? Smh," another wrote.
