On Friday, Ben Affleck and his exes Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner got back together to cheer on their children as they participated in a school play.
Page Six reported that the three actors attended the play that was performed in Los Angeles on Friday to show their support for Garner and Affleck's daughter Seraphina, who is 15 years old, and Lopez's daughter Emme, who is 16 years old and whom Lopez has with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
While the actor from "Gone Girl," who is also 52 years old, arrived at the school event wearing a suit of a dark color, his first ex-wife, who is also 52 years old, opted for a more relaxed look by wearing a pair of jeans and a black jacket.
The actress from "Selena" was seen carrying a bunch of flowers while wearing a long white coat with a fur outline around the neck, a red shirt, jeans, and heels. She looked very stunning in this ensemble.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that the father of three had a conversation with Emme before leaving the venue. TMZ stated that it is unknown whether Garner, Lopez, 55, and Affleck engaged with one another. However, witness statements indicated that the conversation took place.
During the conversation between her estranged husband and her teen, the pop diva "looked on adoringly," according to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail.
Currently, Affleck and Lopez are in the process of going through with their divorce.
After being married for two years, the singer from "On the Floor" filed a petition on August 20 to terminate her relationship with her co-star from "Gigli."
Garner and their three children, Violet, who is 18 years old, Seraphina, who is 12 years old, and Samuel, who is 12 years old, have been Affleck's primary focus.
According to Hello!, not too long ago, the actor from "Good Will Hunting" celebrated Thanksgiving at the residence of his ex-girlfriend, and he also helped the actress from "Elektra" distribute food to those who are without homes.
A source reported that Affleck felt "blessed" to spend Thanksgiving with Garner and his children because he "can just be himself."
"Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her," the insider added. "Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she's the mother of his kids."
During one point in time, it was reported that Garner, who was married to Affleck from 2005 until 2018, served as a "marriage counselor" and "mediator" between Lopez and her ex-husband on multiple occasions.
In the present moment, the actress from "13 Going on 30" is in a relationship with John Miller, the CEO of CaliBurger. In October of 2018, they were first linked romantically to one another.
Netizens took to X to share their reactions to Affleck, Lopez, and Garner's rare public reunion at their children's school play. One netizen called it "low-key the most iconic family reunion," while another user pointed out the dynamics, noting how wild it was to see "Ben and JLo interact with their kids while Jen Garner just watches." Another follower commented on the interaction between Affleck and Lopez's daughter Emme, describing the moment as "awkward yet sweet," and tagging it #familydrama.
Meanwhile, one person questioned the oddity of the situation, adding, "Ben and Jen's Thanksgiving together was weirdly wholesome but now this? Something's up..." Another follower seemed to sense tension, wondering aloud, "Are we sure Affleck and Garner are just friends? The vibe at that school play was off." Finally, another netizen added a more cynical note, suggesting that the reunion might be "some kind of co-parenting magic... or maybe just for the cameras? Who knows."
