Cher stated that the late music producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector asked her to have sex with him when she was just 15 years old and he was in his early 20s. Spector was convicted of four counts of murder.
In her biography, "Cher: The Memoir, Part One" the music star, who is 78 years old, made an assertion. She stated that she had met Spector through her ex-boyfriend, the musician Antonino LoTempio, and that she was instantly troubled by the way that he looked her "up and down."
In an excerpt from her letter, she reflected that he might have been a demigod to many, but he acted weird, and she didn't like how he stared at her.
Cher claims that Spector urged her to engage in sexual activity with him in French, and that she was surprised when she responded in the same language.
Cher recalled the alleged conversation by saying, "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?", with a smirk on his face. He was asking her to sleep with him.
"Without breaking a sweat, I gave him a look back and replied, 'Oui, pour l'argent,'" she recalled saying in response to the question of whether or not she would be paid for the sexual encounter, according to People.
In her writing, she noted that he could have been knocked over with a feather. He didn't think she would understand the question, let alone have an answer.
Another unfavorable interaction that the singer of "Believe" had with Spector occurred later in her life, when she confronted him about the unauthorized use of her vocals in a single that he issued in Europe.
Despite the fact that he attempted to frighten her by pulling out a revolver and spinning it around his fingers, Cher stated that she remained steadfast in her statements.
Even after he displayed his gun, she recalled warning, "Don't f-k with me, Phillip! This is me, Cher, okay? ... Put that f-king gun down and promise me you'll never do anything like this s-y with my music again, okay?"
As a result of his apology, she asserted that they did not have any further problems.
In the year 2021, Spector passed away at the age of 84. He was serving a sentence of 19 years to life in jail for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson when he passed away in a California prison.
According to Page Six, one of the things that Cher spoke about in her memoir was the fact that she had sexual encounters before the late music producer sought to get into bed with her.
A male had rejected her when she was 14 years old, and she acknowledged in one section of the book that she had "revenge sex" at that age.
"I was so hurt when he did that, I had revenge sex with him. I had never wanted to," she wrote. "Otherwise, I would have done it one of the five hundred other times he asked."
"When what turned out to be a massively overrated experience came to an end, I asked him, 'Is that it? Are we finished?' Then I told him to go home and never come back," she added.
