A former Trump National Security Council official has warned that retaining 50% of Biden-era staff could create governance chaos for the new administration, urging swift action to avoid cascading failures.

Concerns Mount Over National Security Council Leadership

On Sunday, a former Trump official who is still loyal to the President-elect let the cat out of the bag about something that he warns will damage the plan for the future Republican administration.

Joshua Steinman, who served on Trump's National Security Council for four years during his first term, expressed concern over the weekend that the National Security Council is currently making errors that could result in four years of ineffective governance at best, betrayal at worst.

Steinman published a statement on his social media accounts that read, I am going public out of loyalty to him.

Trump Insider Warns of Cascading Risks

"Let me start by saying, this isn't about Rep. Waltz or Alex Wang, who I believe love POTUS and mean well. But it appears they are getting bad advice that will have CASCADING and CATASTROPHIC impact on President Trump's ability to execute his agenda, end war, bring prosperity, etc.," he said, elaborating, "If the President is the owner of the football team, the NSC is the Quarterback."

Steinman is quoted as saying that "PERSONNEL IS POLICY" in accordance with the council. According to him, this is a concern since he has heard that there will be certain individuals retained from the administration that was led by Joe Biden before.

Retention of Biden-Era Staff Raises Red Flags

The former official has received information from multiple sources that a substantial percentage of NSC Staff have been informed that they will be permitted to remain. This is a very dangerous mistake if it is true. He stated that removing individuals like this wasn't an attack on his character but rather a matter of common sense.

Staff Turnover Seen as Crucial for New Administration

Steinman points out that together with the others, he stayed for high staff turnover to introduce fresh faces, The Raw Story reports.

According to him, around half of the employees remained because they were afraid of the "Optics" of a mass firing. Four years later, this is precisely what President Joe Biden did, and it's time for them to do the same.

The rapid turnover of staff is a critical issue.

Allegations Tie Past Staff to Early Impeachment Efforts

"Because if you remember, guess who stayed on (allegedly), during those early days?" he wrote. "The person who (allegedly) kicked off the first impeachment."

Additionally, the conservative portal Gateway Pundit took note of the news and issued a warning that the existing arrangement has the potential to "undermine" Trump's new term.
