Caroline Kennedy launched a blistering rebuke of cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr's Health Secretary nomination, labeling him a predator and citing his alleged drug-fueled youth and vaccine misinformation in a letter to Senate leaders days before his confirmation vote.

In a letter she addressed to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s cousin accused him of being a "predator" who was "addicted to limelight and power" in the days leading up to his expected confirmation as director of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Caroline Kennedy, 67, explained in a video posted on X (previously Twitter), that she was serving as US ambassador to Australia and that she never wanted to publicly discuss the difficulties her family was facing, which is why she did not remark on the matter sooner.

"But now that Bobby has been nominated by President [Donald] Trump to be Secretary of Health and Human Services - a position that would put him in charge of the health of the American people - I feel an obligation to speak out," she stated in the video.

Caroline raised concerns about the 71-year-old's qualifications, mentioning his lack of expertise in government, finance, management, or medicine. However, she also mentioned his personal qualities that are relevant to the position, which are much more concerning in my opinion.

She wrote that she has known Bobby for her entire life, as they grew up together. She also noted that it is unsurprising that he maintains birds of prey as pets, as he is a predator himself.

According to Caroline, who spoke about his past struggles with substance misuse, "His basement, his garage, and his dorm room were the centers of the action where drugs were available, and he enjoyed showing off how he put baby chickens and mice in the blender to feed his hawks. It was often a perverse scene of despair and violence."

She continued by criticizing his stance on vaccines, claiming he takes advantage of sick parents' desperation by vaccinating his own children while hypocritically opposing other parents from doing the same.

Despite its shortcomings, Caroline says the American health care system is the envy of the world. She goes on to say that the people working in the field are the most committed she has ever encountered, including doctors, nurses, researchers, scientists, and caregivers.

She believes that the Senate should reject Bobby Kennedy's nomination since he is not worthy of their respect.

Following the 2024 presidential election, President Trump nominated Bobby to the position of health secretary, as previously reported by OK!.

The dates of his confirmation hearings are January 29 and 30, respectively.
