According to a source who spoke exclusively to Page Six, Jennifer Garner's longtime boyfriend, John Miller, "isn't thrilled" about the fact that the actress and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, are spending more time together.
Miller knew Ben and Jen had a super strong relationship and were leaning on each other more than ever, reports Page Six.
"Their growing bond is getting to be a bit much when Ben spends all the holidays with them like Christmas and Thanksgiving," the insider said. "John feels like a third wheel."
The Oscar winner and the Emmy contender, both of whom are 52 years old, both texted, called, and talked with one another significantly more than they had done over the course of the previous few years, reports the insider.
"It used to be solely about the kids, but John feels like it could be more than just about their coparenting relationship," the insider said.
"He doesn't feel threatened in terms of Jen ever getting back with Ben, but at the same time it's hard not to feel jealous when it's clear they have a strong connection and friendship," the insider added.
The 47-year-old businessman and the "13 Going on 30" actress have been dating off and on since 2018.
Garner and Affleck were married for ten years, from 2005 until 2015. They are coparenting their three children, Violet, who is 19 years old, Seraphina, who is 16 years old, and Samuel, who is 12 years old.
It was claimed earlier this week that the former couple has been spending more time together and is closer than they have ever been since their divorce.
According to the insider, the exes have relied on each other more than ever since Ben's divorce from Jennifer Lopez, the Los Angeles fires, and everything else.
Over the past month, the "Alias" star invited the "Good Will Hunting" actor to join her and their three children in celebrating Christmas as a family.
In addition, they celebrated Thanksgiving together by assisting with the feeding of two thousand persons who were homeless or very close to being homeless in the downtown area of Los Angeles. Later that day, they enjoyed dinner together as a family.
"Ben and Jen's kids are really enjoying spending the holidays and family time together," the source explained to Page Six, per Yahoo. "It's a really great cohesive unit."
