President Trump announced Thursday that he has canceled planned U.S. strikes and bombings against Iran after negotiations were elevated to Iran's highest leadership and received approval.

"I have... cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

According to Trump, key points of a potential agreement have now been approved "in both concept and great detail" by multiple parties involved in the talks.

The countries Trump said are backing the framework include the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.

He added that the U.S. naval blockade will remain in place until the agreement is finalized.

Trump said details on the signing ceremony, including the time and location, will be announced soon.
