Rep. Yassamin Ansari sent a letter July 23 to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer requesting an inquiry after The New York Times reported that Barron Trump communicated digitally with Tate in 2024. Ansari is seeking records from the Justice Department, State Department and White House personnel that could show whether the Tate brothers' legal situation was discussed inside the administration.
